Do You Lock Your Doors At Night?
Canada Free Press ^ | 07/19/16 | Leigh Bravo

Do we really need that wall and do you still plan on locking your doors tonight?

Do you lock your doors at night? If you answered yes to this question, then tell me why? Do you lock them in order to keep out those you don’t know or those who might intend you harm? Do you lock them so strangers cannot enter your house at anytime of day or night? Do locked doors give you a feeling of security? Do you feel locking your doors will keep you and your family safe?

Donald Trump promised to build a wall to protect the borders of the United States. Why has this caused such controversy? Will a wall make a difference in the number of undocumented aliens entering the country? Will it stop terrorists, drug cartels and criminals from creating havoc or will it stop the transfer of children over the border to be sold into sex slavery? Will it be better for the citizens of the United States? Is it really necessary?

I never could understand why some people brag about not ever locking their doors. Perhaps they are not wanting to let go of the ‘old days’ when folks trusted strangers/neighbors.

They are living under the false illusion that “It’ll never happen to me” or “We never locked our doors when I was a kid and we’re not gonna’ start now”. I’ve heard it repeated many times by what few neighbors we have and I ask them if their doors came with locks and why did the door company take the time to drill and install a locking handle.

We lock our doors during the day and we live in a VERY rural setting back in the woods, have a good-sized alert dog (Border Collie/Aussie mix) and various loaded weapons within quick reach in the house at all times, even in our outbuildings, etc. There may be 3-4 vehicles go up our rough dirt road during the day.

Living ‘out in the country’ makes you more vulnerable to home invasions and burglaries than if you lived in town.

Two years ago someone fired a rifle shot in our woods very near the house. It was 1:00 a.m. I armed myself and called the Sheriff’s Office...closed, yes closed. They transferred me to the State Trooper office. One hour & 40 minutes later they showed up and immediately asked me for MY I.D. and said it was probably just someone poaching a deer then left. WTH? I’ll never ever bother them again.

Locking doors were made for a reason...use them and keep your family safe.

Go Trump...build that wall!

“If you answered yes to this question, then tell me why?”

BECAUSE I AM NOT STUPID

my house was burglarized twice
once by two muslim kids working for their uncle stealing jewelry, who got caught and confessed to all the jobs they had done

and because there are lots of illegal wetback mexicans who work nearby and pass along at all hours of the day and night... they stew debris from their taco bell and snacks and candy bars and slurpees in front of my hosue and have not learned how to act like humans yet...

I DONT TEMPT FATE

I HOPE I AM NOT AROUND IF ONE BREAKS IN
I WOULD HATE EXPLAINING TO POLICE WHAT HAPPENED.......

The slobber buckets do a good job of keeping out varmints.

While locks are a good at keeping out honest people, the dishonest will get in no matter what.

I definitely lock my doors at night, but as burglaries are uncommon here, it’s optional during the day.
