If a significant blue state would do the right thing, it could pull the plug on Hillarys presidential aspirations. The states have plenary power as to how their electors are chosen, and the legislature of a state could simply pass a law declaring that Clinton Cash disqualifies Hillary from being on the ballot. That would have scant effect if enacted in Texas. But if passed and signed into law in Pennsylvania or New Jersey or even Ohio . . .
You are 100% correct. I for one would prefer entirely confederal elections for senator and president.
