I can relate. I like the local McD

The announcement of the arrival of a McDonald’s to a small town is seen as a sign the town is beginning to grow and prosper. Cityfolk just don’t get things like this.

... well, as various parts of the city gentrify and become economically viable they get a Starbucks or two. It is a marker, on a path.

Hate the food, love the coffee. Everyone knows that McDonald’s Coffee is the hottest and most flavorful - except the folks paying 3x more for Starbucks’ over roasted shellac.

They have Free WiFi at McDonalds.
That must have done the trick.
All I care about is Monday is Big Mac Monday, only $2.19 each. One of the thrills of my boring Life. LOL

When I’m traveling and want a drink or coffee it’s always the McDonalds drive thru I hit. They have great coffee.

I always order a Senior Coffee at McDonalds, $.79 cents.
Same price as their Senior Soft Drink.
Screw Starbucks. Only time I go there is when somebody gives me a Gift Card.

I was in a McDonald’s today. Hadn’t been for a long while but I needed something quick. I was amazed how McNasty all the cold food they served me tasted. It was garbage that was slopped together. How hard is it to stack a burger without half the patty sticking out the side and then stuck to half the bun? I ate half the burger and about one or two of the horrid fries then threw it all away. Yuch!
Mickey Ds sucks balls and I don’t know why I didn’t remember that. People who eat their a lot must have iron clad stomachs and no taste buds on their tongues.

A world of infinite wealth would therefore be nothing but Starbucks, one after another after another.

My favorite McDonald’s are the apple-pies but they must be chilled in the fridge or I won't eat them.

in-case someone thinks I didn't have a picture...

My daughter last week.
HA!

No, not too many.
But it it is a fact that property values increase if one has a Starbucks on the corner or a Whole Foods in the neighborhood.
It only reflects the values of buyers of real estate.

well, a community meeting-place. In old England, the pub served as such a place
If you think about it, in many places across the States, the communities are so far-spread that there are very few community places to meet and see one's fellow citizens.

Note that it also says
In Natchitoches, the Romeo group isnt the only social event at the McDonalds. On Tuesdays, there is a bingo game. On weekends, a Bible group sets up in the opposite corner, and offers prayers and Bibles to whoever wants to come. It is run by Stephen Elliott, 63.We come here every Saturday, and set up in this corner. The McDonalds offers us room for whoever shows up. We have the space to gather and pray.Nice of McDonald's

I was puzzling over the economic viability of “super-size me” — can anyone explain it to me? How does McDonald’s earn more by super-sizing?
