Give them a military tribunal where they are charged with murder and terrorism. Cover them with pig’s blood then execute them and bury them with pig carcasses.

Just before World War I, there were a number of terrorist attacks
on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists.

The idea of closing GITMO is insane to begin with. The human manure still in there are a blight upon humanity. Here's a short list of some the few that could be released: Abu Faraj al-Libi Libyan. In Guantánamo since September 2006 The alleged co-ordinator of the entire 9/11 plot from a base in Germany, who was picked up by Pakistan in a raid on a house in Karachi in 2002. Claimed to have also planned with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in June 2002 to crash a hijacked plane into Heathrow airport, London. Majid Khan Pakistani. In Guantánamo since September 2006 Allegedly tasked by ‘KSM’ to poison water reservoirs and blow up multiple fuel stations on the US mainland ‘as well as a project targeting nuclear reactors’. He was termed a ‘willing suicide operative’ who delivered funds for a 2003 Marriott hotel bombing in Jakarta. Mohd Farik Bin Amin Malaysian, detained in Guantánamo since September 2006 Arrested leaving a bookstore in Thailand in 2003, he is called a senior al-Qaida operative who swore an oath of allegiance to Osama bin Laden. Targeted the UK embassy in Cambodia and helped with an abortive ‘west coast airliners plot’ in the US to crash a plane into ‘the tallest building in California’. Captured computer allegedly contained images of the Space Needle in Seattle and bomb diagrams. Trained in camps in Afganistan. Allegedly tried to buy a surface-to-air missile. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed Pakistani, detained in Guantánamo since September 2006. The alleged mastermind behind the attacks of 11 September 2001, he is said by US forces to have ‘described himself as the head of al-Qaida’s military committee’. His file alleges he planned the destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge, the collapse of a Chicago apartment block and destruction of a US hotel or fuel station as follow-ups to the September 2001 attacks. He is one of 16 ‘high-value’ detainees transferred to Guantánamo to stand trial. Abd al-Rahim Hussein Muhammad Abdah al-Nashiri Yemeni, detained in Guantánamo since September 2006 Believed by US forces to be ‘one of the highest-ranking, most skilled and dangerous al-Qaida operatives captured to date’, al-Nashiri is allegedly a key Bin Laden aide. His file details an alleged plot to attack a UK base on the Gibraltar – with the target chosen after being featured on a ‘news documentary’. His notes stress excellent contacts with ‘Yemeni tribes and Yemeni security -services’ which were used to provide documents and cover for extremists. And the idiot wants to release these creatures? They know nothing but terrorism and will repeat. They have held their trials off so that if they move them to US soil, their rights change to those of us citizens, which they aren't, and not military combatants which they are. You don't end the fire by throwing gasoline on it. red

True, but even Obama wasn’t going to release most of those guys. Or rather, none of his Defense Secretaries would have.

Five of them (including KSM, but not all in your list) had decided they’d plead guilty and take the death penalty in December 2008. Sadly, it’s after Obama tried to restart everything that they decided to go through the trial.

But perhaps they should first pray over the fate of the pigs. Those pigs will deserve a lot more respect than the terrorists do.

Round up the many thousands of corrupt people in agencies like the IRS, EPA, DOJ, etc. and lock them up.

I have absolutely no trust in anything Obama does. Like I mentioned in my post, his entire intent to close GITMO is based in my mind upon the idea of changing the process from military tribunal, where it is supposed to be, to a civilianized court proceeding to change the rules in favor of the offender. He is taking the enemy of this country, not a citizen, and affording them the rights and privileges of our Constitution and laws they do not deserve as combatants.

I agree, but I think it’s worse than that. The Constitution is irrelevant to him.

The funny part is that Obama and the Supreme Court both proved that Guantanamo is legal. We always knew it was legal, but it’s harder for the left to dispute it now. Both of them wound up going along with indefinite detention.

The sad part is that Obama really is capable of doing a lot worse. I think he would do more harm as soon as there is something to be gained by it for the left. January 20th cannot come soon enough.
