That's the problem I always had with Newt as Speaker in the 90's. He'd take one step forward, saying or doing something that I like, and then, inevitably, he would take two steps back.

Unfortunately, it looks like he hasn't changed one bit since then.

Maybe Newtie will talk himself out of the V.P. nod; I still prefer Santorum, who won some eleven states in 2012 to Newton’s GA and SC.

“Actually, it falls perfectly into the category “Current Events,” because it is a perfect retort to Newt’s current comments criticizing Trump. “

By criticizing DJT for saying what is plainly true, “Mr. Newt” has demonstrated once again that he is despicable, debauched, and without the slightest shred of character or honor, a lickspittle lackey of the GOPe.

I think less of myself when I reflect that he fooled me for so long.

Yes, this is Newt off “best behavior.”

Support the candidate Newt. You love to quote Reagan’s 11th. Follow it and STFU.

Newt backtracks

This is why these guys don’t get the presidency. He’s not all that smart about politics after all.

How many times in this election cycle did Newt say Trump should apologize or backtrack? I count 3. If Trump followed everyone else’s advice, he wouldn’t win.

with discriminatory agendas.

Anyone who doesn't think that political bias and ideology determines the outcome of judicial decisions hasn't ever paid attention to the SCOTUS decisions. We've grown used to judges ruling just the way their appointers intended them to rule. We have 4 to 5 or 5 to 4 rulings on just about everything and that only depends on how Kennedy is feeling that day.

Their motto is damn the constitution- what will advance my ideology.

Sotomayor might bring prejudice to the bench but Trump is wrong for saying the “Mexican” judge is biased against him.

And by the way, let’s face it. When we think of Hispanics we think “Mexican”.

Well, I was raised on the border and was befriended and mentored by a diverse group of people who's families had lived on one side or another of the border since the days of the Conquistadors

I always had great respect and considered them good people and the last of the true Vaqueros.

I really despise the Identity Politics Progressives who have turned them into another government dependent racial identity class

Everything the government touches it screws up. Our government policies Combined with the Cartels drug running and human smuggling have wiped these people and their culture and life style off the face of the Earth

BTW, the “Mexican” judge might actually be a citizen of Mexico. Here’s article 30 of the Mexican constitution:

Mexicans
Article 30. Mexican nationality is acquired by birth or by naturalization:

Mexicans by birth are:

Those born in the territory of the Republic, regardless of the nationality of

their parents:

Those born in a foreign country of Mexican parents; of a Mexican father and a foreign mother; or of a Mexican mother and an unknown father;

Those born on Mexican vessels or airships, either war or merchant vessels.
______

Not saying he’s not a US citizen, just saying according to the Mexican constitution he may well also recognized under Mexican law as being a citizen of Mexico, due to being born to Mexican nationals on foreign soil.

Good job finding that nugget of information! I wonder if anyone in the press will bring that up in a Newt interview. He’s as happy as a pig in sh!t now with the attention he’s been getting riding Trump’s coattails. Then he criticized Trump... twice... for alleged racist and non-PC comments. Now he might have to answer for himself.

This guy goes whichever way the wind blows.

“Trump is wrong for saying the “Mexican” judge is biased against him.”

Why is he wrong for speaking the truth?

This disloyal, treasonous, no-right-to-be-a-citizen beaner is with La Raza, every member of which should be hanged.
