Trump, Ryan and the Islam Problem
PJ Media ^ | 5-15-2016 | Roger L Simon

One of the main areas of contention between Donald Trump and Paul Ryan is the question of Muslim immigration. In early December, when Trump first made his proposal (now a "suggestion") to stop all such immigration until we "understood what was going on," one of the first to react in high dudgeon was Ryan, who declared: "This is not conservatism."

(snip)

But let's look more closely at what the speaker said during that response:

When we voted to pause the refugee program a few weeks ago, I made very clear at the time: there would not be a religious test. There would be a security test. And that is because freedom of religion is a fundamental Constitutional principle. It’s a founding principle of this country.

Aside from the obvious -- if people are fighting and killing you in the name of a religion, how do you ignore the "religious test" -- what about that "security test"? Is it really happening or are people slipping into the country by various means, including an open border, with no test whatsoever? What about reports of an ISIS camp eight miles from El Paso?

And, perhaps more importantly, did that "pause" Ryan voted for actually take place in any meaningful way? According to the New York Post a "surge operation" bringing Syrian refugees to America was already in operation this past April. By "surge operation," Gina Kassem -- regional refugee coordinator in Amman -- told reporters, it was meant the resettlement process that normally took 18 to 24 months would be sped up to 3 months. (Some pause!) And the figure of 10,000 refugees that has often been proffered by the administration was a minimum, not a maximum.

Of course, he's making up lost ground on that front

Yeah. Kinda drunk on his job title.

Man's got to know his limitations...

how much muscles would he apply to implement Trump's vision/policies?

Oh I think he's a real go along to get along. Once it's a done deal, he'll salute and say yessir.

But Trump doesn't need a truculent lackey. Can hire those guys all day long. Think the phrase is, "you're fired"?

Jeff Sessions, Steve King and a few other decent people can get together and put the right guy in, now that the Boehner gang is being rolled up.

Thanks for the link.

There is no doubt about Arab money to the higher education institutions going on for decades, let alone inside the beltway which we all know.

One of the reasons (maybe) we haven’t seen a Beslan or a Bataclan yet, is the real moooooslem backlash (which hasn’t happened since 9/11) that unleashed will be as we’ve never seen yet. No oil money or government official declaration is going to work afterwards.

Civil war or Revolution 2.0 may be coming, but it’s a different story.

It’s a flawed premise.

Islam is NOT a religion!

Islam is a 7th century form of repressive government seeking to impose itself on the world. To accept Islam as a religion is to subjugate yourself to Islam’s ultimate goal of enslaving the world. Islam is the role model of Star Trek’s “Borg.”

“Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.”

As in the past Islam has to be repulsed back with extreme prejudice. 3 short words.

Not to mention non citizens don’t have constitutional rights Paulie. Our refugee policy clearly states religious persecution as the most important criteria for refugee status. Since 99% of these so called refugees are Muslims fleeing a Muslim country they have no real argument for asylum here anyway.

“Jeff Sessions, Steve King and a few other decent people can get together and put the right guy in, now that the Boehner gang is being rolled up. “

And Sessions is already speaking out about what needs to be done. Trump must have told him he has Carte Blanche with the media. Good move, Trump.
