There is preliminary talk of Cruz assembling a high-profile team of GOP surrogates and bringing them to Indiana, according to sources familiar with the Cruz campaign’s internal deliberations. The goal would be to project unprecedented party unity against Trump with a roster of supporters that, in addition to familiar faces such as Walker and Carly Fiorina, could include Jeb Bush or even Mitt Romney.
Is that what last night’s surprisingly upbeat Cruz speech was about? Sounding more like a traditional general-election candidate in order to encourage establishment Republicans to unite with him now? In any case, per Alberta, Cruz and his team are all-in in Indiana — both the campaign and pro-Cruz Super PACs are planning an all-out GOTV effort to try to blunt Trump’s momentum after his inevitable big wins in the east next week, and some outside groups are planning ads in the state to try to drive Trump’s numbers down. Emphasis on “some,” though. The later it gets in the campaign, the less cash there is from big donors to go around. A few more big wins by Trump in the mid-Atlantic might even convince some anti-Trump donors that Cruz’s cause is lost, which will damage the Indiana effort. Another X factor for Cruz is that Indiana doesn’t have the same anti-Trump talk-radio establishment that Wisconsin did to drive right-wing opinion against him.

A contested convention will fracture the party giving the democrats the win. This is no path to the White Hut with Cruz an YOU know this. Cruz did not win any of the Swing states and dam sure will not with most people really pissed at legal trickery stealing the nomination from the popular Guy.
The Process is already seen as corrupt and rigged. Cruz will NOT have the support of most but he few die hard like you and Party faithful. The rest will hate the GOP and Cruz for doing it.
So Stop setting up Hillary to win because you are not thinking thru what you are doing.

I find it remarkable how so-called moral conservatives can justify disenfranchising the people, deny us representative govt and be proud of it. Makes me sick, whether DNC or RNC oligarchy is doing it.
Trump is disliked by 70% of Americans. He is getting 37% of primary votes, has no campaign structure and no clue how to raise the $1B he needs to run. Trump has 0.0 chance of beating any Democrat.
At the end of the day Trump will have received 10-12M primary votes. 130M Americans vote in the general election. How will he get 55M more votes when 91M hate him. He will lose in a massive landslide to any candidate.
The only presidential candidate more hated than Trump, according to Gallup, was David Duke when he ran. He was at -71% Trump is at -69%.
So let’s say Trump does poorly next week and before June 7th he also is mathematically eliminated. Very unlikely but possible. If that happened would Trump drop out?

I do not remember arguing in any thread that Cruz should drop out. I don’t care if Cruz drops out or not. Cruz has already lost, he is now just being used by the GOP leadership for leverage over Trump. It would be better for Cruz’s future in politics if he dropped out and made some type of conciliatory gesture to unite the party. Currently, he is cementing his image as someone who cares more about winning than doing what is best for the country.

You keep pushing the most bogus polls in American history as if they had any connection to reality. When in your life have the liberal run polls ever been favorable to the GOP side this far out? Never. Real world voting demographics shows the exact opposite happening. So who you going to believe the polls or your own lying Eyes.
Whoever is telling you Americans hate Trump is lying to you. The Polls you love to justify giving the election to the Democrats are in conflict with what your own eyes and common sense show.

Can you show me one poll that has Trump within the margin of error of beating Hillary?
Can you show me one poll that matches the reality of the Demographics of the actual voting so far?
How many times does it have to be shoved into your face the polls lie. They lied on Hispanic, they Lied on women, they lied on Evangelical, they lied on blacks, they lied on youth, they lied in every category so far. Google “Trump wins all demographics” and educate yourself.
