meanwhile the largest Islamic mosque in the world has been opened in Washington DC...
So now where can one go in NYC to scratch their Baals?
Join my new group, “Luddites for Ignorance”, we can stop all this historical nonsense! </ sarc>
Only because some Muslims complained...
We never had an Arch of Baal in our house, but my nephew taped a penciled drawing of a pentagram on the back of his bedroom door about twelve years ago. Teenagers do stupid stuff, but what occurred during that time period was not good (an understatement).
The door immediately began to sag on its hinges. Our dog, an English Pointer, began urinating on a corner of my nephew’s bed closest to that door. To my never-ending regret, we put the pointer down believing he was going mad because of his nipping everyone. I now believe he was defending the house and frustrated with us for being stupid.
Eventually the door fell off its hinges and my nephew leaned it up against the door opening. At that point the pentagram was visible. We had taken in a homeless friend of his, a woman, who was very upset upon sight of the drawing. She said it was evil, and tore it down.
I removed a box from my nephews chest of drawers that held my blessed crucifix from confirmation. I found that the nails holding the Jesus figurine to the crucifix had come unfastened. Undeterred, I took the crucifix to the house’s front entrance and hung it over the double door’s interior side. Later I found our guest inside still holding the pentagram.
After a short discussion we went out on the back deck to burn the pentagram. It burnt up easily in our BBQ.
My dogs were out in the backyard so we walked out to watch them and were in view of my nephew’s room as the shades were drawn. Inside was a strange old man who picked up the bedroom door and threw it across the room, taking out one of the closet’s doors. When he realized he was watched by us, he burst into bright flashing lights, as though made of flash bulbs.
Trying to get a photograph of this was impossible. My nephew had entered the house and was upstairs with a camera (he had been photographing car engine repairs). He and our guest tried to photograph what must have been a demon, but the photos only showed bright lights.
Is evil out and about in our world today? I believe so.
We could throw costumed characters into the fire!
Obviously SG-1’s work...
