When Ted Cruz visited Glenns house on Tuesday, Glenn took the opportunity to thank Cruzs security detail for the job theyre doing, keeping the presidential candidate safe. Then, he put them on the spot with a question only they could answer. Is he the real deal behind the curtain? Glenn asked. Having a personal security detail himself, Glenn is well accustomed to situations where the most private moments are on full display to bodyguards. Glenn elaborated during his radio program on Wednesday. You want to know who I am, you talk to my security detail, Glenn said. They know me because theyre with me at my worst and my best, and they see me behind stage and on stage. Because they have a non-disclosure, security personnell arent supposed to answer questions like the one Glenn asked. That being said, it was the manner in which they responded, more than the words they spoke, which told Glenn everything he needed to know. You can tell by the way people answer or dont answer, Glenn said. Watch the video to hear Glenn describe the experience or read the transcript below.

GLENN: I went up to his security detail. And I just went to thank them for the job theyre doing, keeping him safe. And then I stood there for a while. Now I know, because my security is with me on my most private moments. They have actually been in in the room with me and my wife because theyve had to be. Because of situations, it can get tense with my wife and I, or very intimate with my wife and I on delicate things. And so I know you want to know who I am, you talk to my security detail. Now, they have a non-disclosure. So they cant but they know me because theyre with me at my worst and my best. And they see me behind stage and on stage. So Im standing there next to his and I know they have a non-disclosure. But you can tell by the way people answer or dont answer. And I said, So tell me, is he the real deal behind the curtain? Because Im never going to see the real deal behind the curtain. In his worst moments, is he the real deal? Immediately, without hesitation, they turned to me were standing kind of in a line. They turn to me and walk in front of me and look me in the eye, and one of them the first one said, I have done this for a long time. Ive protected all of them. I have never seen a man like him. No matter where he is, no matter what shape hes in, no matter how tired, how pissed off, no matter what the scenario, Ive never seen a man as consistently true as him. He says the same thing to your face as to your back. Ive never seen him inconsistent. And the other guy just kept shaking his head and said, This guy is the real deal. Hes the real deal.
PAT: Thats awesome.
GLENN: That was really awesome.
STU: Yeah, because I asked your security about that and they just looked up at the ceiling and ran away. I thought that was weird.
PAT: Well, they have a non-disclosure. They cant talk about that.
GLENN: Honestly, thats how you would respond. I cant talk about it. Thats how you would do it.
Nope, not a peeping Ted.
This Beck-Cruz homoerotic bromance is not going to end well.
All presidential candidates have Secret Service protection.
“Oh hi Mr. Delusional”
Still name-calling and finding fault, I see. I knew that I should not have posted to you again.
You again? LOL, go somewhere and play, child.
Haters gotta hate.
You're easy to hate. Get lost, and take your hateful OCD bumper stickers with you.
Oh, now I know what your problem is. You’re in Kalifornication! ;-)
No they don’t. I looked and could find where Cruz asked for SS. The protocols for SS used to be only to those that won their parties nomination.
Now that has seemed to have changed and the SS will make a determination on certain factors but you still have to request it, it is not automatically given.
Does Beck have opinions? Sure - just like you and me. If you disagree with a persons opinions - does that make them dishonest?
More important (telling?) questions - to me anyway:
- do you accept as true the doctrine of the rapture of the church?
- do you believe that God works in peoples lives?
I don’t believe tbat Gad assigned Beck to speak for Him. You are wcome to. I see Beck as a dishonest, hypochondriac showman.
“I dont believe tbat Gad assigned Beck...”
This is a pathetic ‘straw man’ argument. Has Beck (or anyone) said that he claimed to have been assigned by God?
You’ll need to provide more than your mere dislike of him to make a compelling argument that he is dishonest.
Google what Beck said. He did indeed say God anointed Cruz to lead to us through Rapture. At least check his comments. I was one of Beck staunch TV and radio followers at one time and went to some rallies of his.
He is dishonest with all his illnesses and important news releases that never come. He is an unstable person. Who are welcome to be a follower. I will follow Christ.
Sorry about the spelling on first post. My phone is small and I often miss “auto changes”
“He did indeed say God anointed Cruz to lead to us through Rapture”.
Why is this a problem statement? He is stating his opinion (and I’ve read what he said), he is not claiming some “special knowledge”, he is saying nothing different than what Billy Graham might say.
This is why I asked you: - do you believe that God works in peoples lives?
Beck might be wrong, he might be right. And if Cruz becomes president, it will become apparent if he is “God’s man”.
As far as his illnesses and all that, I don’t have an opinion as I don’t recall the issue.
I catch Beck a couple of times a week while I’m in the car. I go back and forth between him and another station - listening to whoever has the more interesting topic.
All I know is that over the last year or so, out of a few hours a week, I’ve never heard Beck utter anything other than mainline conservative viewpoints - with a “Christian” bent.
I’m curious - is this an example of what you find unpalatable:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8uEWj3E79g
I find Beck and his hypochondria and nutty ideas unpalatable. And I find you odd to think you have the importance or right to demand I explain my opinion of Beck to you.
You are free to your opinion as am I. And my opinion is that Beck is an unstable loon.
My last question was not meant to be a demand. I’m sorry if it came across that way.
Have a good one...
You have a great day too. I can respect your right to an opinion without agreeing to the opinion. Hope that can work both ways.
