Holy frack!! The lefty lunatics have taken over the NDP asylum.
This past week-end, the federal New Democratic Party held a convention, in Edmonton, Alberta (the home of Canada’s oil and gas industry), to debate and propose policies and to vote on the leadership of its French Quebec leader Thomas Mulcair.
In the last Canadian federal election, the NDP party was reduced to third party status.
The No Discernable Principles party RESUMED its place as the third party. Its short life as the official opposition was an anomaly, not a trend.
It doesn’t really matter. The Lieberals, under komrade Prime Minister Justin Turd-owe, have a majority in the House of Commons, and do not need to call an election until October 2019. Unless there is a massive resignation of Lieberal MPs before then, ANYTHING the Conservatives, NDippers, BlowQuecois or Green suggest, can be ignored until election time. Couple Turd-owe with a majority of NDippers under Nut-lee in Edmonchuck, we (Alberta) is SO SCREWED!
Out of all this, there really is only one current question as it affects federal politics given that the Liberals just started their mandate and are in power for another 4 years.…. The NDP seems to have self-destructed and at least exiled themselves to the woodshed for an indefinite period of time. So what does that mean…….Does Trudeau and his band of Liberals go even further leftward to fill the N Dipper void for good measure with the objective of doing what they can to make sure there is no one on the left that would want to let N Dippers out of that woodshed…. or have any reason to let them get a hint at what daylight looks like? Or without the pressure of the NDP on them, does this mean that the Liberals can ease off just a tad and lurch at least a smudging closer to the centre direction…..not that they don’t have a long way to go to even see centre, so relatively speaking of course.
