One man, one vote, is a myth.

As far as primary elections and the presidential election is concerned, you are correct. If we elected our president by popular vote, we wouldn't have an electoral college. If the electoral college did not exist, the candidates would have virtually no reason to campaign in those states with small populations.

Trump people show up but are often misinformed or lied to about meetings and vote times, and which of their delegates are on the ballot only to find out later their delegates have been delisted.

This is true. What is going on is that a lot of new voters and people are coming in and don't have experienced leadership in parliamentary procedure. They are getting taken advantage of, yes. That much is a mixture of cheating and being out procedured. Then, some is not cheating per se, but there are many other ways that there is cheating, including the chairmanships not even acknowledging Points of Order, etc.

Ok... now, I am going to repost something from another thread that I posted because I feel it is important to this conversation:

Part of the ground game is to get your delegates lined up and get your people to the local caucus and elect the chairperson who is on your side. You need to get people who understand parliamentary procedure/Robert's Rules, etc. That CAN be done minus GOPe and HAS been done and I can tell you that firsthand. It is negligence NOT to do so.

For example, Trump was endorsed by Phyliss Schlaffly. All he had to do was get the lists of previous delegates and supporters of similar caucuses or candidates from her and get the organization on the ground and ready. This was done in 1996 with Pat Buchanan. My state had an excellent ground game and showed up at caucuses outnumbering the GOPe by a margin of 6 to 1. The Texas delegation that year was also very successful in this.

Chairmen were elected to set the rules and procedures and the Dole people were furious to the point that at one caucus they tried to fight over the microphone, literally, because they didn't like the results. Police even had to be called. And let me tell you, I WAS THERE. So don't tell me a ground game doesn't work. It DID. And those delegates went all the way to the convention LOYAL.

That's what I posted in relation to another post about ground game. I stand by it and have been a state delegate.

This is where the stealing is taking place. The persons who are in the know about schedules and meetings are all Romney people that have been screened to be anti-Trump and who are added to #Nevertrump and are given marching orders as well as well-paid compensation. Romney is conducting a coup here.

Yes, a lot of the Romney people are still in place. What really is upsetting is what they did in Colorado with their written statement to delegates that Trump is NOT a Republican and removing his delegates from slates as not Republicans.

As a lifelong Republican, that is infuriating, and I'll tell you this - The people who don't understand the cauces and delegate selection system are getting pissed off, but when you start pissing off people like me who know the system and push them out of the Party, then you are FINISHED as a Party. FINISHED.

Now having said that, the chief goal of the Cruz campaign itself, is to get its own delegates on the slates, even if they are bound to Trump, in hopes of going to a second vote. However, IF, and big IF, that even happens, Cruz will find himself stabbed in the back and/or enough people will realize the stupidity of destroying the Party over pure irrational hatred.

And no matter how well they screen the delegates, I guarantee you, there are secret Trump delegates that are on the Cruz slates. So take THAT GOPe. haha. Two can play this game. Spy vs. Spy darlings!

How so? Regardless of their personal preference, the Florida delegates are bound to vote Trump thru the first three ballots -- thus fulfilling the terms of their election.

After that, like every other delegate at the convention, they are free to vote their own way.

Trump was free to nominate and campaign for his own slate of delegates, but he chose not to invest in any local infrastructure to accomplish this goal.

If you think Cruz, a first term senator, is so masterful as to be able to play the system like this on his own without any guidance from the GOPE, then you are a ***damned idiot.

This is a political party playing power games with its delinquent base, and it is going to end real badly.

You dumb little Cruzies had best wake up and get your heads out of your butts.

>If Trump has the greatest number of delegates, and it is the delegates that vote on the rules, how will Cruz be the one changing the rules?

Because Ted is stealing them.

“Because Ted is stealing them.”

I wouldn’t use the word “stealing” - but interesting. So in Florida where the primary vote gave Trump a bunch of delegates, but in their state convention it was Cruz supporters that were voted in in some districts, while those Cruz delegates are bound to Trump for the first three ballots, they probably are not bound to make the rules in favor of Trump.

>they probably are not bound to make the rules in favor of Trump.

They are not, which is why Ted went after them. He and the GOPe wants to win the primary at any cost. The rules committee could create any rule they want to keep Trump out and toss it Cruz.

Try to understand what a coup is, then accept that you are witnessing one right in front of you.

Other nations have witnessed them. They haven’t been familiar in the United States but they are as of now. You are seeing it now.

It’s not Cruz. He’s just a stooge for Romney. Romney was left as the head of the GOP after 2012. He has the command of his mafia (yes, a real mafia).

Importantly, Romney commands access to the GOP/RNC databases of district and precinct captains. The RNC and other organs of fundraising are alway sending out surveys to see who on the mailing list is pro-Trump, who is pro-Kasich, etc. The surveys reveal who is anti-Trump and they are then added to #NeverTrump.

As a result, Romney’s people ‘drill down’ meaning they come to know who they can dispatch as delegates, or who to hatch a fraud or delay, a bait and switch, a theft, etc. They send out these GOP operatives to steal from Trump, deny him influence.

Why is Romney the head of the GOP? Because he brings the money. He who has the gold, rules. This is known as the Golden Rule among thieves.

Romney is one of the most dishonest people alive today.

How does Romney bring the money? It is brought to him by outside interests, When say Mexico wants to donate to stop Trump, they will seek out Bush but may be directed to Romney because Romney was the last nominee and is the de facto head of the party.

So it’s not Cruz, it’s Romney. Cruz’ so-called ground game is not owned by Cruz, it is created and set into motion by Romney who has the survey research and the contact lists from the database.

Cruz never had a ground game until Romney stepped in.

Romney is committing a coup. That’s what you are seeing.

“Romney is committing a coup. That’s what you are seeing.”

I’m guessing that Trump won’t endorse Romney like last time?
