Good point. I don’t relish thinking of Little Marco on the ticket. But if Paul Manafort has been expressing this from when he was only an observer, then it could very well be Marco.

The VP slot is one more of ceremony than anything else. It’s actually rare that a VP runs for election as President and wins. So in that light, it may very well be a practical decision. We need to keep our emotions under control and look at the larger picture.

Yes, and the April 26th states (CT, PA, RI, DE, MD) are all Eastern/Northeastern which should be in Trump’s wheelhouse. So, he should do very well on the 26th, after a good NY results next Tuesday. This is likely the “punch in the face”, winning those states and holding onto the delegates!

Rubio has 171 delegates according to RCP and has hinted at support for Cruz. It would not be surprise for Trump to reach out to either Rubio or Kasich if his falls short of 1,237, which is possible.

IMHO, he would be better aligned with Kasich, who is a “moderate” and very popular in Ohio, a must win state! Kasich would also help Trump soften some of the edges with women voters. Rubio could not carry Florida, so I’m not sure he has as much leverage...and at the end he may not have more delegates than Kasich...

The best thing Trump could do would be to bury the hatchet with Cruz, bring him on as VP, and market the Trump-Cruz tag-team that will clean up the shit-stalls in Washington and totally restructure the GOPe...together, they would totally control the convention, there would be no GOPe elite games with the nomination, no riots, just a consolidation of the anti-establishment fervor sweeping the country...

It’s well documented that LBJ and JFK could not stand each other...politics makes for strange bed-fellows, as they say!
