When the FBI comes knocking, what will Hillary do?
I’m retired in Florida now, but one of the former junior partners from my firm in Washington is writing a book on the legal history and implications of the Bill Clinton impeachment proceedings. When viewed under a microscope, in light of the current Clinton investigations, it sheds a clear light on exactly what Hillary will do when and if the FBI come knocking with a grand jury indictment for her arrest.
In the process of writing the book, Kevin has interviewed a number of people who were very involved in the matter, both from the government side and from the Clinton side. One very remarkable, and almost universally overlooked fact has come out.
Most Americans were first exposed to Monicagate on a Tuesday morning. Actually, the Washington Post had the entire story, with all facts verified, but had spiked it on the previous Friday. Jackie Judd from ABC news was also working the story and she had it all; names, dates, times, places, and even the voicemail recordings on Monday. But, news executives being the weenies they are, they refused to run the story in the ABC World News Tonight program on Monday.
So “someone” at ABC-TV who had faith in the story leaked some of the details at about 9 PM Eastern time to a California newspaper. That California newspaper then began to ask questions that started floating around Washington. The ABC reporters and produces were then able to go screaming to “the Suits,” the bureaucrats who run television and television news and tell them that the story was about to break nationally and if they didn’t get it on the air they would be badly beaten.
With that, ABC broke into “Nightline” about 11:45 Eastern time and of course it’s saturated the next day’s morning shows. 9 AM did not arrive without it being public knowledge in every barbershop, taxicab, and watercooler.
Backtracking to the previous weekend, the Clintons held a meeting with their top advisers to discuss the story. They all knew it was true, and quite frankly nothing new. It was simply a repetition of Bill’s conduct with multiple dozens of women since his Attorney General of Arkansas days.
There were a number of very smart people at that weekend crisis meeting. The best of them, including the ones who are skilled at public relations and media communications said, that if the story broke, it would be critically important that Bill Clinton say absolutely nothing about the story, to refuse comment on it entirely at first.
But then about 36 hours after the story broke, the White House press office would let it leak that Clinton asked for 10 minutes of national television time starting at 8 PM the next evening. There would be no indication as to what he was going to say, just that it was going to be an important message for every American. Since everyone knew that we were not at war and probably not about to be, nor was there a hurricane offshore, everyone just assumed it was about Monica.
That’s exactly what the Clinton brain trust wanted.
The plan was that Bill would go on national television and with that “I’ve been a bad boy, but I’ll try to be better” hangdog persona he could turn on at will and confess to the nation that, he had in fact had an inappropriate relationship with “a young woman”. But he would immediately go on to say that it was not her fault in any way, that the fault was his entirely, and that no one else other than him was to blame for his conduct. (I’ve been a bad, bad boy)
He was then to continue that he had embarrassed himself, worse than that he had embarrassed his family, and even worse than that, he had embarrassed every American by his conduct. And again, all the fault was his and he is searching in his soul for why he would’ve been so foolish.
(I’ve been a bad, bad boy…… But I I’ll try to do better)
Tthen, after a dramatic pause, and with great emphasis he would ask for forgiveness, “if you can find it in your hearts to give it”, that he was seeking counseling along with their forgiveness, yada yada yada yada yada.
He would end with a statement something along the lines of “as I leave you tonight I pray for peace throughout the world…… And ask you to keep me in your prayers as well.”
The next day, the news would portray him as a “statesman,” fully accepting responsibility for his own faults, a true and honest man, and all the other BS that the Clinton media machine could generate.
It of course would be absolutely the one and only hot topic on the Sunday news shows, but by the following Monday would have become “old news.”
Within two weeks, the national mood would be “well, you know old Bill……”
This course of action would have followed the long-proven best way to deal with any negative publicity, because, despite anyone’s fondest hope, the facts always come out you must always:
Tell it all, tell it yourself, tell it today
……. and as a result, in a couple of tomorrows, it goes away.
Everybody was signed on to the plan…. until Hillary got involved. She viewed it as corrupt lawyers always do. She didn’t care what was right or wrong. She only cared about what she thought she could get away with. She wanted to do anything and everything she could do to delay and defuse the situation. She didn’t care about the embarrassment this was creating for Bill, she was worried about her own future. The lawyer in her couldn’t understand that by telling all, telling himself, and telling it today, Clinton would’ve turned even her, Hillary, with sympathetic character, that poor little old cheated-on woman.
No, she had to view it as the Saul Alinsky-trained lawyer she is. She decreed that they would deny, deny, deny, delay, delay, delay, attack everyone else involved, blame the Republicans and do everything else they could until the public mind simply got tired of the situation.
I won’t go into the details here but literally tens of thousands of lawyers hours were expended by the Clinton defense team to ensure that justice was not done. Little of it had to do with whether or not Bill had actually sodomized Miss Lewinsky. The focus was turned on us as “the evildoers, with our puritanical ways and desires to hurt Bill (and Hillary) in any way we could.”
Hillary could never accept the fact that by a simple explanation of the obvious, the whole thing would go away in less than two weeks. Certainly some people would’ve remembered forever, especially conservatives, but it would’ve been at most a minor sidelight in the history of the Clinton presidency.
The reason the Monicagate story became the disaster it did for the United States was solely and completely Hillary’s decision to fight it in every unscrupulous way she could.
Those who know her know that that mindset has not changed.
So if she is indicted, or even not indicted but subject to a damaging report by the FBI regarding her emails, and more importantly fraud within the Clinton Global Initiative (the Clinton Foundation) that personally brought Bill and Hillary tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars in ill begotten gains, the course that she will take is obvious.
Her reaction will be absolutely….. Nothing!
Sid Blumenthal will have a prepared statement claiming the charges are completely unfounded, baseless and purely vindictive charges, brought about by the vast right-wing conspiracy or whatever else they want to call us this year, and the only reason it’s being brought now is to tear down a wonderful woman, etc. etc. etc.
There will be some calls from within the Democratic Party for her to step aside, but there is absolutely no legal requirement that she do so. And remember, for the Clintons, it’s not what’s right or wrong, it’s what the law will let them get away with. The talking heads of television will be split 50-50 down the middle, some saying she has to get out of the race but the louder ones saying that “only Hillary, only a woman as strong as Hillary, can carry on in the face of these obviously uncalled for assaults” and words to that effect.
And so, as the weeks go by, the story will become less and less important, and people will move on to other things, just as they did in Monicagate. Her percentage of victory at the Democratic National Convention might be less, but the cheering pantsuit sycophants (oh, Huma!!!) would love her even if she got caught shooting Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
Remember, with a defendant in a situation like this, her attorneys can delay, delay and delay a case like this for at least 18 months. Of course immediately after the election, or even before, Obama could pardon her. As bizarre as it may seem, and this is uncharted legal territory, most constitutional attorneys agreed that, if elected, she just might be able to pardon herself, or at least get away with it, if she was inaugurated next January.
And so my conservative friends, be prepared for……. God knows what! But whatever you do, don’t assume, just because honorable people such as ourselves would completely drop out of a political race if we were indicted, don’t expect that Hillary would feel any compulsion to do so.
She thinks God put her on this earth, (well not really God, because socialists can’t believe in God) but something put her on this earth to destroy the horrible, evil United States and turn the entire world into one huge socialist globe, with all of us peasants, singing Kum Ba Ya….. While she and Huma and the rest of the cabal live in the lap of taxpayer-funded, power-mad luxury and debauchery.
And just think, if she was elected after being indicted or even the subject of a non-indicting negative FBI report, can you imagine even for a moment how she would unleash her wrath on all of us?
Yes, she is that dangerous.

What is the national security violation at issue here? I was responding to an OP who claimed that the CGI emails will destroy Hillary. No, they won't, not unless there is a quid pro quo tying her influence to the payment. She did not take any money (CGI did), so unless you can prove that she benefited directly from influence peddling, you will have a very hard time getting even an honest USAG to take the case. And we don't have an honest USAG in this administration.
Sounds ike a big abuse of power, bribery in the face of it, conflict of interest.

Hillary accepted a $100,000 bribe that was laundered through the cattle futures markets via a $5,000 straw purchase early in her career. Her defense of that incredible ROI was "I read some articles in The Wall Street Journal."
This "explanation" was accepted despite the fact that the manner in which the transactions were covered by her broker were illegal. Does that little episode pass the smell test any better than the Rosatom deal? Sure doesn't to me. But she skated on that, did she not?
"Sounds like" -- or more likely with the Clintons -- "smells like" is not proof.
The media has done an excellent job of making your prediction come true. It looks like they’ve completely confused the general public by parroting Clinton’s misdirection. What they haven’t done is protected her against the oncoming details of the massive corruption involved in the pay-to-play racket she ran as SoS.
Three bits of info prove that someone in the Clinton family is going down for the criminal mishandling of classified information. Guccifer was loaned to the the US for 18 months after which he’s to return to Romania to continue serving his sentence. Blumenthal was outed by the NSA for emailing Hillary highly classified information copied verbatim from a supposedly unknown source. Pagliano was given immunity.
None of this sheds light on the other prong of the FBI investigation which is the corruption involving her racketeering while in office and the money laundered into the Clinton foundations. It does seem odd that her connection to the Russians was recently exposed via the Panama Papers.
You probably already know that the Clinton aides lawyered up at least as far back as last November.
Just being attentive watching from the sidelines tells me the Clinton’s are already being tried in the court of public opinion. Whether they are tried for real may be irrelevant given how well Sanders is doing and how badly Clinton is doing as a likeable candidate.

The Presidential power to pardon is a plenary power not subject to anybody's review.

We were told that Archibald Cox was "probably a Republican," the 2000 Florida Supreme Court was "very conservative" and Patrick Fitzgerald was "always non-partisan" and "above reproach."
Filthy Democrat partisans with an agenda, every stinking one. James Comey would not be the director of the FBI in this administration if he had any integrity. He's going to give Hillary a clean bill of health. Bet serious money on it.
More importantly, it also means the fix is already in.
If not for the leaks and the odd legal happenings, that might be believable.
And that "other prong" will be used to clear the Clintons as well.

I agree that she is simply playing for time and using the old tactics, though to no avail. And despite all of their efforts in SexGate Slick Willie was still impeached! Criminals never learn, they just try to commit new crimes in new ways, never expecting to get caught, witch she has. (pun intended)
Think about it...If she is to seek a pardon by a fellow Democrat she has to be tried and convicted to get said pardon from the Resident or hope like hell that Sanders wins, which is highly doubtful.
May her chains rest heavily upon her ample cankles.

The FBI coming knocking is the least of Hillary’s worries.
I’m sorry but I don’t call that a smoking gun as it’s been well publicized. There have been dozens of articles/discussions about the subject and most recently I posted this link for the March 2016 discussion group of Judicial Watch. I have the transcript also and don’t recall JW glossed over Panetta and the State Department’s claims that military resources were not available to go to Benghazi.
That was known when Panetta appeared in front of the congressional panel long ago also. That was his “infamous” remark that we couldn’t send our military into “risky situations”....Certainly uncovered long before any emails were released...

There are two avenues here, and two subsets in one of them.
#1A, Classified materiel was passed/stored in insecure systems. > She walks with an “Admonition”
#1B, Classified materiel was passed/stored in insecure systems and people’s lives were lost, battles were lost as a result. > She is charged with a misdemeanor or minor felony and “slow walks” it into 2017.
#2: Through the emails, and probably into the CGI, then can establish an ONGOING,MULTIPLE REPETITIVE series of quid pro quo acts that benefited her, Bill, Chelsea, etc. MONETARILY, ESPECIALLY IF THEY CAN ALSO SHOW ACTS THAT ILLUSTRATE THAT THEY KNEW IT WAS WRONG, such as money laundering, hidden accounts, emails acknowledging such, then they have a potentially very serious case, but it would take a string or ongoing, related acts, at least more than a dozen, 20+ even better, and it would also be better if all were linked in some way, such as all through the same money handler, etc.
The overall legal hurdle for the FBI to clear will be if an investigation of the emails “allowed” them to reasonably assume that some of those emails indicated illegal activity in related to the CGI, therefore they looked into the activities of the CGI and discovered....
It’s when they come with those pesky arrest warrants....
Seriously, were she to be indicted, her “booking” would be a virtually secret “non event.”
This all has nothing to do with her obvious guilt. It’s all about her reaction to being accused with a crime as a result.
