I agree with a lot of that, but why go after Walker so hard after he dropped out since the guy had three or so tough elections to stay in there.
I rather get Trump, but just as Cruz Talked New York values, Trump went overboard on Walker criticism and voters made him pay some IMO.
Instinct, in that Walker joined forces with Cruz, and Trump saw both of them as "hitting" Trump, so he "hit back." Trump hasn't figured out the finer points of manipulating the electorate.
Criticizing Walker was about as dumb as the Cruz’s New York values comment
I did not understand the attacks on Walker, he was a good governor for a liberal loony state. Just because Walker supported Cruz, should not have been a reason to attack him.
I think Trump learned from that mistake
I believe the Walker stuff sank him there. It was one of the “on the street” interviews where a couple voters commented about Walker and thought he did a good job in WI
Maybe you don’t remember but Walker came after Trump when he dropped out. His bitter speech had some comment about the other candidates going after the frontrunner.
Trumphad the vile of #nevertrump talk radio, 24/7 relentless negative ads from every candidate and super pac, Walker Ryan and the rest of Wisconsin GOPe against him. Cruz did not break 50%, Trump received 35% of the vote and won Rock County....Ryans home turf. All things considered, I would say Trump did very well.
