My wife was released Monday from the Rehab hospital to come home and already the past two days have been full of our share of challenges and successes and many a small thing inbetween. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and please keep them coming as she still has a long road ahead of her.
It was the Saturday of my church's men's breakfast, which I almost always attend. My brother-in-law had called us on Friday he is an over the road truck driver and was passing through Albuquerque on Saturday (something that had only occured 3 times before over 10 years with him only accually stopping over once) and he wanted to take us to dinner, that combined with several other occurances made me decide to skip the breakfast. I was up early Saturday and made breakfast for us both I went up to get her and there didn't appear to be anything wrong but she didn't seem well and had been sick for the past week with a bad cold and an ear infection. I told her to get dress and we would go to urgent care. I was helping her and we were almost finish dressing her when the stroke hit. I saw it right away and called 911 and they were there in minutes and wisked her off to the hospital. If things had not fallen out in a way that caused me to choose to stay home that morning it would have been 2-3 hours before I would have found her.
I refuse to believe anything other than the Lord guided events and choices so that I was there where and when I was needed.
"So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you."
Deuteronomy 31:6
Prayers up.
Were they able to give her TPA quickly to help with the stroke?

Glad to hear she is doing better.
God bless you and yours, Kartographer.
P.S. - You have been missed here in the forum .

Congratulations on such a big step of bringing home your wife from the rehab hospital!
My prayers for you and your wife as she continues her progress towards recovery.
Prayers to your family.
I do occasionally post, I brought a Amazon Fire Tablet so we could watch church services live and it is a pretty need little tablet for the money and sometimes when she was sleeping or down to PT or having test run I turn to FR, but it has become so ugly I don’t enjoy it as I did before and often find it depressing, which I don’t need.
It has been a long haul the past few months. There was even a bout of pneumonia, which sent her back to the hospital, but I can’t beleive that the Lord would guide things in our favor for this not to come out in the end.
Thanks for the update. I am so thankful for this good outcome! Prayers for you both in the challenges ahead (so glad you can meet them together!), and for continued healing.
I have been praying for your family daily, and I’m glad to read that our prayers have been answered. I hope things will continue to go well.
I’m glad to hear your wife is getting better and I will continue prayers.
Prayers, brother...
Thanks for sharing.
Praying humbly for healing.
Not on any merit of ours, but because Jesus loved us enough to pay the price for all.
In His Holy Name - Healing and hopefully a full recovery for Mrs K.
