The Sikhs are not Muzzies. They hate Muzzies. They can be thoroughly trusted. We really should create a unit of nothing but Sikhs. They would love that and they would perform both proudly and superbly.

I get really annoyed and embarrassed when say Muzzies and Sikhs are the same thing:
They’re opposite.
In fact, the officer corps of the Indian Army is something over 30% Sikh —they are reliable, entrepreneurial, fantastic managers. Really good soldiers.
AND IT DOESN’T MATTER.
Cuz E Pluribus Unim, and in America you have a jillion little groups, and very quickly ALL are going to start screaming for their own exceptions.
And then there won’t be a uniform, and there won’t be unit cohesion.
We’ll just have a big, incoherent rabble.
Sikhs do sometimes blow planes up though.

And it would prove to be one of the top units in all of the military.
Nothin' but respect for Sikhs.
What about all black? All Puerto Rican, all white?
See where that’s heading? Don’t make no sense.
I said almost immediately post-9/11 that we should organize a Sikh regiment similar to the British Gurkhas. That said, I am less than keen on this accommodation.
This isn’t about how they perform. This is about US Army regulations.
