Trump Facing Inconvenient Defeat in Wisconsin
Reaganite Republican ^ | 31 March 2016 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 03/31/2016 3:52:51 AM PDT by Reaganite Republican

He's already cheesed-off 70% of all cheese-heads

As the latest polling in Wisconsin betrays Trump's widespread unpopularity there, his larger nationwide problem is that women specifically are beginning to coalesce into an anti-Trump alliance...
and that most certainly includes the badger state

It's no secret that female voters were having a hard time getting into the Trump thing, but his recent repellant behavior and attitude re. Heidi Cruz and Michelle Fields is making the choice a lot easier for them. I mean, when you lose rabid supporter Ann Coulter perhaps you've taken your (pointless, completely unnecessary, and damaging to the GOP) war-on-women too far.

Has it occurred to Mr Trump's supporters yet that offending a large majority of American women -when you intend to go-up against Hillary in the fall- is about the stupidest thing he could possibly do?
Trump could have done less damage eating a live kitten on stage.

I for one anxiously await the next round of polling re. hypothetical Trump vs Hillary matchup- he was already weak there before his latest misguided displays of misogyny.

The answer for the GOP? Dump Trump and nominate Ted Cruz -perhaps with staunchly pro-life Carly Fiorina in the VP slot- to take on and destroy Hillary. Polling has long supported the idea that Cruz vs Clinton works better than it would with Trump, and that's not likely to change now.

If Wisconsin goes the way I think it's going to, Trump's sputtering campaign is entirely unlikely to reach 1237 delegates prior to Cleveland. And The Donald mostly trades on an air of inevitability (was never true, but the co-opted 'conservative' media is certainly still pushing that faded narrative), so just watch and see how he does once Ted Cruz exposes Trump's true electoral mediocrity.

With California fully in-play, Ted Cruz reaching 1237 prior to the convention is not out of the realm of possibility for him- but he's a lot more likely to beat Trump on the 2nd or 3rd ballot there.

On the other (tiny) hand, Trump's probably going to arrive in need of delegates, and will in my opinion have a hard time finding new friends-
rather, he's made an awful lot of enemies.

I concur trumps fraud will finally get stopped.

My concern is what the party will do. Foisting a Romney or Ryan would be a disaster worse than even Trump.

Okay. Cruzers, you seriously need to have a real heartfelt conversation with yourselves.

Why do you like Cruz so much? I know. He's a man of principle who's willing to stand up to the establishment and fight for the American people with good old conservative principles. He supports the things I support, and is the man to fight the establishment cartel in Washington.

Did I get that pretty much right?

Now the hard conversation part. Why does the establishment suddenly "like" you? Why are people who you've sworn to fight, suddenly endorsing you? Is it because you think you've "won" them over on principle? Do you really believe that you can trust the establishment you've been "fighting" since you've been in office? Do you really think they're going to hand the nomination to you on the second vote at the convention?

Wake up.

Blah, blah, blah.

The Trump-bashing is getting a bit excessive around here.

Just saying.

Why do you care?

You guys are working for them, and frankly it will be the sweetest end to you self-righteousness Cruz losers if the Gope kicked that guy right off the cliff and gave it to Romney. Which is what even Scott Walker said will be the plan.

Do you guys seriously think they are providing Cruz with money and resources because they like him?

Frankly I would laugh my rear off watching that patsy candidate of yours be humiliated right back to Texas.

But yeah, Trump is the real “fraud”, huh?

Versus the Cruz bashing which had degraded into dozens of tabloid smear threads last weekend? You're pretty dang funny.

The Cruz campaign already may a $.5M downpayment for iCarly, so why not. The Goldman Sachs sponsored globalist and his running mate; the most destructive manager in HPs history. They have all the charisma of boiled clams. Perfect.

What we are seeing here is a case of “Trump fatigue” setting in. The novelty has worn off and the media and GOPe have doubled down on discrediting him at every turn. I don’t know if he’s capable of turning this around at this point.

It’s tht same 5 a-holes who constantly post anti-Trump stuff. This place has been taken over by a vocal minority of Cruz trolls who have nothing to do all day except post the same negative stuff from 5 different sources.

Ted Cruz has barely won half the delegates he needs so far to get to 1,237. He needs to win over 80% of the remaining delegates in a 3 man race. Not going to happen. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/delegate-targets/

Now the hard conversation part. Why does the establishment suddenly "like" you?

They are trying to buy time and some prefer the enemy they know to the enemy they don't know. They are also trying to manipulate Cruz just as they tried to tame him by installing him as a NRSC vice chair with no real power. It has little bearing on Cruz' positions, and he remains the only small government conservative in the race and the only one who doesn't think that Planned Parenthood does great things.

Eric Bolling, Geraldo and Hannity on Fox News have become unbearable to watch because they are so deep in the tank for Trump. ....Geraldo has always been unbearable to watch!

If the Cheese-heads deliver him a defeat, the GOP, DEMS and others will say, so far, things are going to plan. The Destroy Trump campaign will let him blab while constantly attacking him. If he goes down, Hilliary is our next President and that means the end of Pax Americana and all that we love & cherish...
