False on its face. What states were flipped by those four million? When did the four million vote before they didn't vote in 2012?
You can look at the map of 2004, for starters. It was clear after the results that values voters made the difference. Besides more social conservatives being motivated to vote, there's not going to be excitement for HRC among the black voting population.
Trump or Cruz are willing to run an aggressive campaign, the kind we hadn't seen since Bush the Elder in '88. If Bush the Elder can motivate the conservative base, and he did despite himself, Cruz should be able to as well. Trump is a diferent animal, and can certainly win, and by a large margin. March polls mean nothing for the general election.

I think Virginia is iffy for Trump. Too many people in Northern Virginia who are fine with the status quo.
The good news for Trump is that he has about 6 months to improve his numbers. I suspect a large percentage of the “never Trump” crowd will hold their noses and vote for him come November.

2004? The presidential election after 9/11? You want to claim that the Bush re-election came from hardcore conservatives and not from suddenly (and temporarily) security-conscious moderates?

Trump doesn't win NY either. NYC drives the state. No way they pick him overh Hillary. Plus NYers know Trump, he's not well regarded. I don't know...he's one of "them" in NYC and that counts for a lot. When the rubber hits the road I think NYC will break big for Trump...especially independents and blue collar dems..

Christians may have sat the last election out however they came out this time FULL FORCE for Trump!!!

2004 was more than three years after 9/11. C'mon, you remember that election. The polling afterwards showed values voters made the difference. You can disagree with the pollsters, but if you paid attention you would know that was the consensus on the exit polling when the numbers were run.

I live in NY - unless you are talking to those upstate where I'm sure he'll get votes, the city is never going to vote for him over Hillary.
The fact that they put in DiBlasio with 70+% is proof.
I get it, Trump supporters think he's Iron Man......not in NY and NJ he isn't. He's a wealthy liberal who plays for the wrong team.
To: DouglasKC
He's not “one of them.”
He's wealthy and now he's anti-immigrant who resides in a city full of immigrants (legal and illegal). Not to mention it's a Democratic cesspool.
Why do you think he's changed his party affiliation so many times? He's constantly trying to fit in with the times.
Maybe switch your focus on Ohio or Wisconsin. He's not winning the Northeast.

Spot on....the big cities in PA kill the GOP year after year. The money is best spent in Michigan, Maine & Iowa this year if they are looking to flip a blue state.

Trump can win New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Nevada which would put him at 279 Electoral votes. But he won't win New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or Nevada. Those states went for Obama by an average of 15 points.

They GOPe will spin it otherwise, but women are not happy. Counter-attacks on Cruz's wife will make it a "pox on both your houses" situation.
To: DoodleDawg
Cruz! wife is a DC insider.
Trump’s wives are foreign-born and independent.
Big difference.

Big difference. No, not really. Attacking your opponents wife is not a winning strategy. Regardless of how many you have had, who they worked for, and where they were born.

Trump can win Florida. I don’t see Cruz winning Florida

Cruz! should have disavowed it.
Romney never should have said it.
You don’t fight back when that starts, then what?
Romney allowed people to make fun of his wife’s therapy horse. Didn’t say a peep.

It’s politics.
You punch back twice as hard and send a message to others.
I’m sorry, but that is how it’s played.
I don’t make the rules - I just observe them.
