It’s politics.
You punch back twice as hard and send a message to others.
I’m sorry, but that is how it’s played.

Kind of hard on Mrs. Trump and Mrs. Cruz though. I'm disappointed that Cruz's supporters sank to this level, but not surprised that Trump did as well.

I think New York and Nevada are in play but, only if they (what’s my name?)

Still doesn’t explain “4 million” missing voters. Bush reelection got 2 more million votes than warmonger McCain and Tea Party Palin did, but it was ‘values voters’ that gave Romney/Ryan a million more votes than McCain/Palin?

We don’t have a recent election to really juice the turnout. George the Younger is as close as we can get for a long time.

We’re lucky this time. Trump is a person of accomplishment. The next Kardashian candidate might be an actual Kardashian. President Camacho is less than a generation away.

You’re probably right. On April 19th, two things to watch out for - Trump’s winning margins in the collar counties around NYC and upstate. And the margin Hillary is getting in NYC.

Ronald Reagan didn’t win NYC, he carried every other place in the state.

That said, if Trump wasn’t running his home state would be a lock for Hillary.

I think NY is a pipe dream even for Trump.

However, he would put NV, NM, OH, FL and MI in play.

And you think any other Republican is going to make inroads into swing states?

The only national candidate the GOP has today is Trump. No one else has his broad appeal and drives voters to the polls like he does.

Its going to be a tough election. If Trump can’t do it, no Republican can. And as McCain and Mittens ruefully learned, voters don’t give you a participation prize for being nice and deferential.

If its true we’re going to lose anyway, let’s lose going down fighting hard.

He’s tailor-made for NY and he’ll carry it in a landslide in the primary.

If he can’t get above 50% forget about the fall.

17% of eligible voters turned out in the DeBlasio election.

This won’t be like that.

I hear ya. This should be a walk in the park, with Clinton’s unfavorables almost as high as Trump’s.

He is a fighter and will not hold back, that much I agree.

Just think the mountain is too high for him to climb.

But I would have said the same thing about the primary 3-4 months ago, so who knows?

Trump is not god. He can’t make voter turn out in NYC suddenly emerge for him. NYC doesn’t work that way.

Primary yes - it's his. General no, there are not enough people upstate and Long Island has changed from the Republican stronghold it was in the 80s to a purple mess, thanks to all the immigrants from Columbia/Venezuela/Honduras/El Salvador plus it's heavy teacher/union population.

He's not winning NY. South Jersey hates him as does Trenton and Newark so he's not winning NJ either.

Isn’t NY in play with Trump?
