A detachment of U.S. Marines is on the ground in Iraq to support U.S. and coalition efforts against Islamic State, the U.S. military said on Sunday.
A group of Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, or MEU, will add to the U.S. forces already in Iraq battling Islamic State, it said.

Nobody In his right mind believes for even one second that O wants anything but the very best success for Isis or any other Muslim terror murder gang like hezbellah, Hamas, al Qaida, pa/plo, or his own Muslim brotherhood. A marine sent to “fight” any of them has all our prayers ( especially since his c in c only has his back in a target scope).
Probably Obama is hoping to give them hostages, so he can trade them for the rest of the prisoners in Guantanamo.

( admitting there are internal squabbles ) the murdered Christians , Jews, Hindus, and other innocent people don’t care which Muslim terror gang killed them. They’re dead regardless if they got that way from pa/plo, Isis, Iran, hezbellah, al quandary, hamas, or any of the other Islamic murder gangs. Dead is dead.

If we were serious, it’d be the entire 26th MEU, and not just a detachment. The whole enchilada: tanks, artillery, harriers, LAVs, and the whole battalion.
Agree, hopefully they are reenforced. I don’t think even a MEU could make much of a difference there. As Yogi Bera said: it’s like déjà vu all over again. All courtesy of our Dear Leader, continuing to spit in our face.
A MEU is by nature, reinforced, and it can most definitely destroy the entire city of Raqqa.
