I guess you don't understand. I'm not sure whether you agree with me, whether you're just ignorant, or whether you have a motive.

My point was that the "line" you refer to is way different when a bunch of Freepers protest than when BLM or their ilk "protest."

My only “motive” is I’m an absolutist on free speech whether it be applied to the left OR right.

As long as it’s intent and purpose is not to disrupt, you have the absolute right to attend and or protest a public event.

I have a dark heart when it comes to Marxist mischief. Provide an object lesson that our right to free speech will not be abridged. Within an inch of their lives then throw them out on the street.

I'm not at all "emotional" that's your projection complex at work.

It's that I'm sick to death of damned fools.

Not anyone can attend, you must have a ticket. The fact that the tickets are free, and there are thousands of tickets given out does not change the fact that Trump’s political rallies are private affairs.

Please, do not confuse a private event with a public event by the size of the event or the cost of the ticket.

If Mr. Trump got up on a soapbox on a street corner and gave a speech, that would be a public event. Renting a venue and issuing tickets makes it private. The reason for going to considerable expense and trouble of printing and issuing free tickets is to ensure that legally the event is private.

“Wouldn’t a rally be considered a public venue?”

No not if it is rented.

Try staging a protest like the ones Trump faces at at a Rolling Stones concert.

You have a handful of protesters, a handful only, and the media makes them out to be thousands.

They should have arrested every singe one who shut down traffic. What if there was an ambulance or firetruck needing that highway?

I'm sick to death of damned fools.

And you, of course, are the only person here who isn't one.

But this fool sees limits to your beloved "free speech" as you seem to understand it. I don't think I can be forced to listen to what you want to say as I go about my daily life. I don't think you have any right to intimidate me or inconvenience me to get you message across. And if no one hears you, that's just to damn bad.

It raises no questions about free speech at all. They have no rights to any speech at a private rally.

Wouldn’t a rally be considered a public venue?

Only if you're a dopey liberal.

Yes but “anyone” can obtain a ticket and THAT is what’s determinitive. Invited guests = private, anyone can attend = public.

Actually I’m to the right of Genghis Khan.

Not everyone who happens to disagree with one of YOUR opinions is “a liberal”.
