Many FReepers are clamoring to see Donald Trump choose Ted Cruz as his choice for Vice-President. Indeed, it is the ultimate selection, even better than when McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for VP in 2008: Cruz is only in his mid-40s. He has a command of the Constitution and conservatism like no other Republican has had in a generation, and he is a skilled and polished debater who would absolutely eat his Democrat opponent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and defecate them back out even before the VP debate begins.
Unfortunately, the only thing standing in Cruz's way is the very prestigious document that he has a firm command of: The U.S. Constitution.
Now, I don't want to hear about how "Well, Obama is President, so that means Cruz should, too!" You conveniently ignore the fact that we are dealing with leftists. Leftists like Hillary/Obama are immune from hypocrisy and double-standards. If Rafael "Ted" Cruz is handed the GOP nomination by the corrupt GOP leadership, or if he is selected for VP by Donald Trump, he will get utterly destroyed.
Let's recap:
- Rafael "Ted" Cruz was clearly born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Rafael "Ted" Cruz kept his Canadian citizenship and did not renounce it until May 2014 . Not 1984, not 1994, not even in 2004. But just 2 years ago.
- Rafael "Ted" Cruz's Mother may have held Canadian citizenship in 1970. In 1970, Canada did NOT allow dual-citizenship.
- Rafael "Ted" Cruz's Father did not become a naturalized U.S. citizen until 2005.
- His parents failed to file a CRBA form which is required by US law. Ted’s parents did not fill out the required form until 1986.
So there you have it. Don't get mad at me, Trump actually brought this up so Cruz would have the time to defuse it.
Here's what's going to happen:
- Wacko FL Congressman Alan Grayson will do the dirty work and file a lawsuit against Cruz for being on the ticket.
- Hillary Clinton and Obama will say that we all need to "stick to the issues" and not get caught up over "this birther nonsense."
- Behind the scenes however, Obama's DOJ, appointed leftist judges, the media, and various leftist activist groups will continue to feed the narrative and call on Cruz to "step down."
- Trump will be unable to push his message to the people, because he's going to be dealing with Cruz's eligibility distraction.
Now, I don't have a problem with Cruz being Trump's choice VP (Yes, I would still vote for a Trump/Cruz ticket, even though I hate Cruz for not defending Trump over the thugs who shut down his rally, even though he's a smarmy know-it-all who sold his soul to the GOPe, and even though that he'll get destroyed over his eligibility). So, Donald Trump should choose someone who is not only eligible, but will compliment him on the ticket as well (Duncan Hunter, Jr., IMO).
Is Obozo an natural born US Citizen? There is NO PROOF.
He is not in my opinion, unless Frank Marshall Davis is his biological father. This did not keep him from being POTUS.

Fortunately, we are most likely not going to have to deal with this question. Cruz’s role in the rest of the primary contest is to provide a sparring partner for the front runner. Of course we have the court jester Kasich for comic relief. How would the networks keep people watching our guys if we didn’t have some type of wrestling match going on?
That includes the people around here. We still have some Cruz people around here who are in denial but that will probably not last all that long unless something really surprising happens.

"Hashed" out here is not the same as when Obama's DOJ, judges, and left-wing groups will handle the issue.

Personally, I don't want Cruz for AG or even SCOTUS. What he did last weekend was pathetic.
I want Cruz to (well, he should have stayed there to begin with) remain in the Senate and stop the leftist agenda.
And that could be enough to sway the election.

yes, these guys are canadians specializing in immigration law, but its a pretty easy read. Instead of case laws, article refers to the various immigration laws and updates passed by congress.

You should know by now this is crap. Just like with Obama every single court challenge will be thrown out, as had so far with Cruz.
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama never claimed he was a natural born citizen.
Because he isn’t, if his father is who he claims.
His campaign website said he was born a British subject as the son of a British subject.
Unless like you say, his father is really Frank Marshall Davis, a distinct possibility.
The Kenyanesian Usurpation was accomplished with complete cooperation of both parties.
They have wanted to change that requirement for years and this way, by confusing people about plain language, they don’t have to amend it.
Change born here of citizen parents to born a citizen, even if only on one’s mother’s side and voila, every anchor baby and Winston Churchill is eligible.
I think Trump will pick an experienced and widely respected Republican with good conservative credentials, but isn’t in office now. A guy who had been out of public life for a brief while. Preferably from a toss up state he needs to win.
I think the key is that he’s a former insider, not a current insider.

The standard isn’t “citizen” it’s Natural Born Citizen. I n Article II the Founders require a totally a 100% American Pedigree. “...born of a country to parents who are its citizens....”
Cruz lacks a 100% American parentage. He’s ineligible for either POTUS or VPOTUS.
The Dems will contest Cruz. Count on it!
Ted knows this if he is as good of a Constitutional lawyer as he claims.

What if I told you that the Dems have no plans to bring up the NBC issue because (1) they think they can beat Ted Cruz without doing it and (2) They are afraid it will backfire on the DEM Party if they do ?
Good choice, but if he can’t win SC on his own merits, he won’t be making it the to 270 electoral votes in any circumstance.
