If you log into Netflix using Cyber Ghost Netflix ask you to log out of the VPN server. Kind of defeats the purpose. I used to could watch US shows on Netflix when traveling in China by using Cyber Ghost. No more.

Well, China has been clamping down on the internet in China. Mostly it is about negative news stories about China/bloggers and the like but I am sure that the Chinese government would also suspend operations for other, what they see in their minds, as ‘questionable’ sites. Being a society that has opened up somewhat, but still is very careful about incoming information, I could see why they would want to block American movies that contain topics that might include alcohol, drugs and violence, for example. In addition, they also may want to block information about the ‘good life’ in the good ol’ US of A. ;-)

I regularly chat with Chinese people using a Chinese chat program. We are always joking about ‘Dear Leader’ reading our posts. LOL
