I haven't heard this possibility discussed and wondered what the FR reaction would be?

STOP IT!!!
Cruz can neither be president (Article II, Section 1, Clause 5), nor vice president (Article XII, the last sentence) of the constitution of the United States.
Ted Cruz is a “natural born citizen” of CUBA who was born in CANADA!
In case you haven’t heard, Donald Trump has trumpeted this fact all during the campaign. How in the world could he now pick Ted as VP???????

I was hoping for this but Cruz has really turned me off this weekend by aligning with leftist rabble rousers and telling people like me to STFU and be silenced by these mobs. I really desperately want a candidate who sticks up for us and understands what we face against these communist mobs who have been in control for 8 years, shouting us down the whole time.
The only way I could vote for him is if he apologizes and Trump is also on the ticket. I could not vote for Cruz alone under any circumstances anymore.

Well, folks prayed and prayed for a leader that never showed... perhaps a Clint Eastwood, a George Patton, Chesty Puller, RR,JFK, Etc. None of these types showed up; in fact, nobody showed..... except the usual...politicians. The sound of the trumpet was never heard in the distance; the cavalry never showed up. Then, finally, eventually, after years, Mr Donald Trump made the scene! Certainly not the usual central casting type at all. Many doubt him as suitable. Could it be the One prayed to knows wtf He is doing? We shall see. Stand fast. Semper Mister Trump! Dick.G: AMERICAN! aka: Gunny G **** Mr. Trump has our enemies' attention both foreign and domestic! One word describes them .... SCARED$h!tle$$!!!!!!!!!! **********

Hi, up until recently (2 debates ago) did see a Trump/Cruz ticket being a reasonable idea if fences could be mended. After the tag team debate, I ardently began to dislike Cruz and could not support him. Since Chicago, it appears that my feelings were justified. I simply do not see Trump ever choosing Cruz for any position in his cabinet. And if he did, there would have to be a really terrific explanation for it; otherwise, I’d lose respect for Trump.

Having Cruz as VP (he's ineligible for the position BTW) would only allow the GOPe access and possible control of a Trump administration. Trump needs to make sure that the GOPe is totally cut off from all decision making influence in his administration so the nation can break free from the grip of those globalist/neocon, self-serving, phony conservative traitors to America. Only those who put America and Americans FIRST should be in any policy making positions in a future Trump administration!

...will it eat its own if the ticket out of Cleveland is Trump-Cruz or Cruz-Trump ? Since the odds of such a ticket happening are between zilch and none the I submit you question is moot.
To: Auslander154
Reaction? Initial outrage and eventual capitulation in the main. Although my perspective may be slanted, since I’ve already said I’ll vote for whoever the Republicans bring out, just because, while I think Trump would be a poor president, I can’t believe he’d be as bad for us as Clinton or Sanders.
That said, while I thought it a possibility earlier, at this point I don’t see it happening. I think it’ll be a Reagan-Bush kind of thing, where the guy the Republican party doesn’t really want accepts someone they like better as the VP to make them happier.
