Go away troll.
I don’t think there will be a “Trump / Cruz” ticket.
Why would Trump trust Lyin’ Ted?
Easy, each side can just say never mind as per Emily latella.
Academic, Trump would never play second fiddle and it’s doubtful Cruz would either.
“if the ticket out of Cleveland is Trump-Cruz or Cruz-Trump ?”
Never going to happen.
That might be the only way to avoid a bloodbath.
UNGHHHH
Honestly, I think a combined ticket is the only way FR survives the primary. But even that well is rapidly being poisoned.
No idea how long you have been reading posts on FR but I can tell you it was the same just before 41 was elected on here. Most came around.
Sniff
Well, I have been told here on FR that I’m a treasonous SOB for supporting Cruz and that my vote for Trump wasn’t desired, so I suppose there will be some issues (to put it lightly) going forward should Trump pick Cruz, Rubio, Christie, or any other mere mortal as VP.
I think you can forget about Trump as VP. That would be like trying to get Kanye West to an opening act.
FReepers are adults.
The vast and yuge majority of us do not deal in “what if’s”!
Mine will be...
YAWN
It is highly unlikely that either would accept the role of VP for the other, and it is also highly unlikely that either would offer the spot on the ticket to the other.
The more pertinent question is: “what will happen when one or the other of the two wins the nomination?” Will the Trumpeters decide to accept a Cruz nomination and support him in the general if Cruz wins? Will the Cruzers decide to support Trump in the general if Trump wins? From what I’ve seen here on FR, I doubt that most of either camp will get on board with the other; across the country in the general population, who knows?
It’ll never happen. Cruz brings nothing to a Trump ticket. Trump would have to walk back all the “Lyin’ Ted” stuff. Trump brings nothing to anyone as VP. Doubtful he’d even agree to it. And if there’s a floor fight in Cincinnati, neither man will come out with the nomination.
I would support Trump/Cruz, it won’t be the other way around though, Cruz won’t out “delegate” Trump and the GOPe is never going to backroom broker a Cruz/Trump ticket. If Trump isn’t on the top of the ticket because of goings on at the convention I am voting straight democratic ticket. The entire party must be destroyed if this happens, you will see a major movement to vote straight Democratic Party tickets, trust me, it’s coming, I’ve thought it through, that is where the angle will be channeled, ultimate destruction of the party, and that might mean the country soon by extension of unmitigated Democratic Party rule, but better to get on with it than live like we do now.
I can’t see Trump being second banana to anybody, even God.
I’d be at peace with that result. I think that Trump is the real outsider, and Cruz just plays the role. Cruz also doesn’t seem to care too much about the vanishing middle class.
But, as the secondary name and voice on the ticket, I’d expect he’d be brought on board and begin to focus on the core issues of the Trump campaign.
I would be fine with Cruz as VP, however I think at this point, it won’t happen. There’s too much animosity now that Cruz has blamed Trump for the BLM protests, plus Cruz’s ego is too big to allow him to play second fiddle to Trump.
