Phrase from the article, bears repeating:

Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels: 'Whoever conquers the streets, conquers the state.'

I hadn't heard this particular Goebbels quote, but it is an important one, well understood by the Nazis and the Bolsheviks.

I agree. Wanted to study the pre-power Nazis a little after Glenn Beck started ranting. Here's the sourcing ... https://books.google.com/books?isbn=9089644261 Carolyn Birdsall Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels affirmed this central tenet of the Nazis' so-called ... conviction that 'whoever conquers the streets, conquers the state' ... Here's another fuller quote: The Illustrated History of the Nazis - Google Books Result https://books.google.com/books?isbn=1848587945 Paul Roland - ‎2010 - History 'WHOEVER CONQUERS THE STREETS, CONQUERS THE MASSES AND WHOEVER CONQUERS THE MASSES, CONQUERS THE STATE.' Nazi maxim ... [More accurate than my garbled quote above I think. Best referred to as a 'nazi maxim'.]

Back to ‘conquering the streets ...’

I don’t know about other peoples’ areas, but I hardly see any Trump signs yet, and this is post-prez-primary here in Virginia.
