Be that as it may, you can't claim to be a leader if you can't get others to follow.
Here is another example of Cruz arguing for his cause—this time the Gr8 bill, provided his amendment is attached.

I worry about you because I see disillusion in your future. You have a man who dissembles, lies about his actions, uses religion as a tool and you think he is showing the face of God.
Listen to any awards ceremony and you get to hear how words can be used to cloak anyone in a mantle of superiority, yadad yada. When the dust settles what has been accomplished? Ted has a lot of hat but not many cattle. He has the beginning of a good career in the Senate but he has let ambition use him.
