Children and woman in Hummer. They are not sure if this is a carjacking or custody battle.

How old are the kids? I was listening to this a couple hours ago on Tm Conway’s show.
I saw the pursuit on the freeways and side streets, an hour or more ago, and LEOs were calling it a carjacking and kidnapping. They were covering some serious distance. Out of gas now? Cops were staying 50-75yds back during the chase.
I saw the pursuit while I was in my gym class.
LEOs are not sure why the suspect stopped.

They’re just sitting there. Guy is talking on the phone nonstop for hours. There’s a hello kitty sticker on the windshield, and handcuffs on the rearview mirror..so random.

He’s got 2 kids as hostages, so the cops aren’t moving on him. Cops are staying way back. He can stop for gas, burgers and some beer if he wants.
Did they jump back to the news/weather?
I’ve heard the kids are 1 and 6 years old..was watching kcal 9 and the reporter said the woman in the car is the ex wife she lives in Irvine might have been where he was going to take her initially

Kids just popped their heads out of the sunroof.
They just said there’s a restraining order against her, by her exhusband or exboyfriend.
Then they said there’s a restraining order against him.
For crying out loud! They let him get away!
But it appears the woman and kids are okay.

Sorry I went out for the evening, but wow..I just returned at eleven and it’s still going on! The mother and children escaped to police, and the pinhead escaped into the dark hills with police and k9 in pursuit. Amazingly the dog didn’t catch the guy, even though they were within fifty feet of vehicle.
