Only if Trump arrives at the convention with less than 1,237 pledged delegates. If Trump has that number or more, they cannot steal the nomination on the floor and their plot to install Romney or other GOPe hack as the nominee will not be possible.
On the first nominating ballot, all pledged delegates MUST vote for the person they are pledged to vote for. Only if no one has secured the votes of 1,237 delegates can the possibility that someone else other than Trump could ride in and steal the nomination. Pledged delegates are released from their pledge after the first ballot and are free to vote for whomever they wish in subsequent ballots until a nominee has secured 1,237 votes.
If Trump arrives at the convention with 1,237 pledged delegates (I predict he will have hundreds more than that), then Trump will win the GOP nomination on the first ballot, since the pledged delegates legally MUST vote for the person they are pledged.
Check out Rule 37...I think they plan on stripping the delegates from anyone that walks in with the magic number. The way to do that is to have the delegates vote by “secret ballot” that way the delegates are not “Bound” on the first round. Its all a done deal. Say hello President Hillary “Vagina” Clinton
Thank you for that.
I believe that is the intent of the RNC, though, and McConnell.
If the RNC does this, it will lose, which is also what I think it intends to do, as the RNC and DNC are globalists now, IMHO.
