Tell me more about this “lie of omission” thing. Here’s the full interview, without omission:

Scott Pelley: What’s your plan for Obamacare?

Donald Trump: Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 45, 50, 55 percent.

Scott Pelley: How do you fix it?

Donald Trump: There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, “No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private.” But—

Scott Pelley: Universal health care?

Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of how?

Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably—

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: —the government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.

But somehow, that plan is significantly different to single payer socialized medicine. Nobody knows how, but Trust the Donald, you’ll find out later.

The omission is everything Trump has said about private, competitive insurance for those who can afford it. Insurance that can be bid across state lines.

This is NOT rocket science.

I saw the interview, myself, you refer to.

When Trump was talking about “universal health care” which is what we have NOW by law, repeat, we have universal health care now by law, and universal health care is NOT single payer or socialized medicine, during that particular interview, the conversation had turned to people who could not afford health care insurance. Trump was making the point that people who could not afford health care would still have access to life-saving care.

Again, we have “universal” health care by law at this time. Cruz made himself look like an idiot last night when he kept repeating the socialized medicine meme after Trump insisted that people who could not afford health care should be taken care of.

What Trump said last night was the same thing he has been saying, repeatedly, since he entered the race.

I glanced over your post, but it seems someone omitted aspects of the interview.

the government’s gonna pay for it.

I saw Trump say this, live. What is “it”? “It” is some type of coverage for the uninsured, uncovered, that otherwise don’t have, or don’t get PRIVATE insurance, so they won’t die in the streets. Get IT?

The “government” is only going to pay for those people who fall through the cracks. That is what he said, that is what he meant.

Anyone with a brain, knows this to be true. If you hear or see anyone still pimping this cunard, you will know they have no brain.
