Reconstruction of the human brain which obviously lacks many things needed for a perfect social order
H.G. Wells, the prolific British sci-fi writer, who self-described to be a socialist left of Stalin, interviewed the infamous Soviet dictator for three hours on July 23, 1934. The interview was recorded by Constantine Oumansky, the chief of the Press Bureau of the Commissariat of Foreign Affairs.
The scope of the interview, after he spoke at length with President Roosevelt, was to find out what Stalin was âdoing to change the world.â Wells told Stalin that he tried to look at the world through the eyes of the âcommon manâ not the eyes of a politician or a bureaucrat.
I met Stalin’s daughter back in the ‘80’s. My best friend’s mom is a seamstress and did some work for the daughter. My friend and I delivered the clothes to her...very nice lady. I cannot imagine having him as a father.
Nope, that's not Joseph Stalin, just his ideological twin
(Bernie the Socialist, who is gentle because he does not yet have power).
Fascinating that Wells briefed Roosevelt on this interview, which I have never heard of before. Was this part of a backchannel operation? Was FDR looking for pointers on how to achieve socialism?
H.G. Wells: I’m trying to look at the world through the eyes of the common man.
“Uncle Joe” Stalin: I must have a set lying around here somewhere.
