I just heard the O'Reilly Factor where Cruz and Rubio were interviewed.
The first revelation is that their immigration policies when it comes to deporting illegals is virtually identical to Trump's including the part about rounding up the 11 million illegals and deporting them. I was simply amazed. O'Reilly asked both candidates if they would deport the 11 million illegals and they both said that they would. Six months ago they were not this clear about immigration deportations.
The more interesting answer was from Cruz. O'Reilly suggested that it could not be done because the illegals were entitled to the due process provision of the law. Cruz emphatically said that this was not true and that using ICE the president had the total legal authority to deport illegal aliens in this country. Cruz re-emphasized that with his legal background this was the case.
O'Reilly argued a bit with Cruz and Cruz said that he knew for a fact the president had the total legal authority to deport whoever is here illegally without going through the courts.
Cruz in essence confirmed that what Trump wanted to do regarding deportation all these months is 100% legal and doable under the authority given the president. That was an amazing admission on Cruz' part and a confirmation that Trump as president can indeed deport whoever is in the US illegally. It also confirms that Trump has some pretty good legal advisers on his team and that he knows exactly what he is talking about.
“Maybe Cruz is getting a bath of Christian honesty.’
You mean like Trump, who is on his third Trophy wife and has operated not only casinos but a strip club? Don’t you mean Saint Trump? The guy who supported Planned Parenthood until he figured it would cost him votes?
Just keep tossing those stones in a house made of glass.
“Unfortunately Iâve come to believe he will say anything to get elected.”
Unlike Donald - cough -ethanol- cough - Planned Parenthood - cough - Trump.
Must be time for a di-dee change!
>>My only point is that we don’t want to have a dictator who can throw people out of the country just on his say-so. <<

Agreed. A lot of what Trump, or any Presidential candidate, says implies that if they are elected they feel they will have the political capital and bully pulpit to get it done.
Of course this used to mean pulling along like-minded legislators. Now the principle has been so badly subverted by Executive Orders, overreaching regulatory agencies, overfunded bureaucracies muscling state and local governments and educational institutions, and unconstitutional treaties, to name just a few of the parade of horrors we now live with.
I believe what Trump and Cruz are both saying is that they can rescind Obama’s executive actions, start enforcing existing laws, and, in Trump’s case, get tariffs enacted that can be used to pay for the WALL. I am not really sure how he gets around NAFTA; but would suspect he already has at least some of that figured out.
A WALL will only work if it is accompanied by deportation; but, again, as Cruz said, that is already the law. It does not have to be an overnight roundup. Just determination to use ICE and other available agencies to rigorously enforce the law.
“When it was brought up in the debate about Trump wanting to deport illegals, they were all asked about it and everyone of them, to include Cruz, either said it was illegal, a bad idea or was not feasible.”
That’s simply not true. Cruz has never said it was illegal, a bad idea or not feasible to deport illegals. Every time he’s been asked about that during the campaign, I’ve heard him cite the millions that Clinton and Bush deported as evidence that it’s very feasible. The difference, he says, is that once we build the wall and secure the border, they can’t easily come back in.
As for your contention about Cruz “copying” Trump’s position, Cruz has been talking about building a wall since at least 2011, even before Trump was criticizing Romney for being too harsh on immigration because of his “self-deportation” comments.
I’m willing to believe that Trump has had a change of heart on this issue because he’s seen that our country is going down the tubes and we have to deal with this problem, but let’s not pretend that he’s the guy who came up with these ideas — that insults everybody’s intelligence. As far back as 2007, it’s been the law of the land to build the 700+ mile wall. All we lack today is the political will among the GOP in Congress to restore funding for it, which is why I think either Trump or Cruz can easily get it done.
Goes over as well as "Can I get one of them that huntin' license?"
So far he’s been the only candidate that has had staff members abandon his campaign because they can’t stand his unethical behavior. A week before the Iowa Caucus a half dozen deserted him. One said this Jesus talk is all phony, that Cruz never mentions religion when he’d with his staffers. It’s all a put-on. He lied about Carson and won the caucus as a result of those lies and other scare tactics used on voters. Every candidate except Kasich has at one time called him a liar. Cruz will eventually support Marco the Robot because neither one of them will do much on Super Tuesday and one will have to get out in order to try and stop Trump. Cruz has no support from any other candidate that might get out and SC proved that evangelicals can see right through his BS. Rubio is the establishment choice and I would be willing to bet Cruz gets out after Super Tuesday and supports Rubio, probably after Rubio tells him he’ll make him his AG if elected. Then all that will backfire because Trump is gonna skate to the nomination.
Beck does need to do some fasting. He’s really put on some pounds.
Now see, that is by far the most intelligent thing you have posted. Hence the POS label is appropriate.
@realDonaldTrump: Ted Cruz said on @oreillyfactor that illegals sent out of country by my administration would come right back as citizens. Another lie-crazy!
LOVE THE GRAPHIC. Thank you. You’re a great American.
I am so tired of the Trump supporters on this website. They have been vicious and venomous in their attacks on Dr. James Dobson, who is in the class of Billy Graham. Dr. Dobson built Focus on the Family as an organization to save marriages and help children. He has fought for the pro-life cause for years. At the Judgment Day, he will hear “well done, thou good and faithful servant.” The Trump supporters on this website who attacked him have shown in their actions to be shameful.
Donald Trump is a lot like Barack Obama in ONE SENSE. His supporters make him out to be whatever they want him to be. He can lie, he can be crude and nasty, and yes, he’s right he could even shoot someone and many cult followers, would say Cruz or Ben Carson did it.
Cruz was saying it before Trump was even in the race.
I'm not so sure of Trump, however. He just likes taking practical action to get a job done as directly as possible, but he has no grounding that I can see in any particular principles. I think that's dangerous in the long run, even if you agree with him on particular actions now.
O’Reilly is in the tank for Trump. I’m surprised he even had Cruz on.
That story about seven staffers quitting and making claims against his ethical and religious consistency appears to have been debunked:
http://noisyroom.net/blog/2016/01/30/don-fairly-does-not-exist/comment-page-1/
The key person doing all the “revealing,” Don Fairly, appears to have been made up. At least that’s what I’ve found so far.
If true, this is not just the ordinary fog of war, but a very cynical and systematic effort at disinformation aimed at Ted Cruz. It is absolutely essential to be careful about what you take as a valid source of information. There are people out there who are indeed willing to engage in total fabrication to sow confusion and distrust. Be careful. There’s more riding on this that just the election.
BTW, if you or anyone else has information debunking the debunking in the above link, I’d be interested to hear it. But at this point, I have not been able to discover a sound factual basis for the story about the quitting staffers and their comments.
Peace,
SR
You are not telling the truth and worse in your comments about Iowa. Bull manure and more bull manure. Dr. Carson brought on what happened by his own comments and CNN aided the cause. SHOW ME ONE CARSON VOTER WHO CHANGED HIS OR HER POSITION BECAUSE OF WHAT WAS SAID.
For you to talk about Cruz’s unethical behavior IS SIMPLY BEYOND THE PALE. Let’s see: You support a man who can’t keep his pants zipped in the best Clinton tradition. He junked two wives for mistresses and has been a serial adulterer and abortion supporter.
Do you honestly think if he broke his word to his wives that he won’t hesitate to screw over his voters? You think a serial adulterer is a man of integrity and Cruz is unethical. Wow, I have some oceanfront property in Iowa for you — and I’m sure you’ll buy it. You’re buying Trump.
I expect Trump to be a disaster.
I’ll answer your question of whether I’ll vote for Trump by saying probably, NO and HELL NO. I think Romney is more conservative and especially more trustworthy than Trump.
His consistent inconsistency helps explain why only four in ten GOP voters in a new Associated Press poll view Trump in a positive light. He will have trouble growing his coalition to win a majority of delegates, even as more candidates drop out.
ONLY FOUR IN TEN GOP VOTERS LIKE HIM. I wonder why. Maybe you should think about what the problem is WITH OUR NOMINEE, as you call him? What makes you think Trump is going to do what he says he would do?
