Paper Gold was a book published in the 70s. It discussed investing in rare postage stamps.

My great-grandparents died in Europe in the 40s. The only thing of value they were able to get out of Germany was my great-grandfather's stamp collection. I have one third of it. I do not believe the other two-thirds survives.

Only when you can find a market do things like art or stamps have value.

Silver and gold coins for the interim. Almost always a market.

Storage food, bullets etc, always a market.
