Ted Cruz's Campaign Machinations Exposed by Conservation Treehouse
American Freedom ^ | February 17, 2016

The machinations of Ted Cruz since he was elected to the US Senate in 2013, are cold, calculating and meant to fool the American people into catapulting him into the White House.

Cruz paints himself as an outsider in DC fighting as he says the DC Cartel. Don't be deceived by his rhetoric it doesn't match his creds, he's as establishment as they come.

Between 1999 and 2003, Cruz was the director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an associate deputy attorney general at the United States Department of Justice Domestic Policy Advisor to President George W. Bush on the 2000 George W. Bush presidential campaign. He served as Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 to 2008, appointed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.

From 2004 to 2009, Cruz was also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation.

Senator Ted Cruz took office in January of 2013. January through September of 2013 Cruz campaigned against Obamacare even forcing a government shutdown over the funding for it. It appeared he was doing the right thing - for the right reasons. However, he was getting massive intense backlash for a junior senator with only a few months on the job - soon the pressure became too much, he was isolated, ridiculed and marginalized into defeat. He collapsed - retreated and made a decision.

In October of 2013 Cruz made a strategic decision to get his political life kick-started and try to regain credibility and influence. To achieve this he partnered with the very political machine he previously opposed, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and then Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell directed Cruz to join the NRSC.

This article is idiocy, full of speculation and erroneous conclusions and is the highest order of equine feces. It totally excludes his efforts prior to joining the Bush administration - almost all of which entirely contradict the pablum cited above. Therefore, from reading your post, apparently some of us are that dumb.

I went to Harvard (Senior Executive Fellow at the JFK School); I worked in the Bush White House as a Counterterrorism/Intelligence Advisor to Governor Ridge, who’s no conservative; I was a member of the NSC Staff; and I have “connections” to people you consider elitists. Does that make me an “insider”? Short-sided, shallow-minded people who refuse to look beyond those factoids would certainly think so. But then, it ignores all of the other details of my life and career, doesn’t it?

You seem to forget (or just aren’t aware) that Donald Trump is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, which is an IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL. Does that disqualify him too?

His “wifey”, as you say, had a five-year term appointment (a recruiting mechanism for the CFR) to the CFR and contributed economic research to the TF53 report entitled “Building a North American Community”. She neither authored nor co-authored any of the report, but contributed only economic data. When the report was published, she fervently disagreed with many of the conclusions, authored a dissenting memorandum of her own (which was not well received) and was not asked to remain with the CFR. That, as Paul Harvey would say, is the rest of the story.

If Cruz was establishment as that hack Sundance claims, then the establishment would be supporting him. Instead, the establishment hates Cruz while being open to Trump if Bush, Kasich, and Rubio lose. Conservative Treehouse is nothing more than the Goebbels to Trump’s Hitler.

The takeway is this for everyone...

When you get elected to any position

When your former opponents come bearing gifts to your or want to hire your family members, run away fast!

We need to change things from the inside...but so many rely upon politics to feed their family, who will risk their livlihood?

That is why it was a citizen run govt. we need term limits...

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

As I noted above, in 2005, Heidi Cruz had a five-year term appointment (a recruiting mechanism for the CFR) to the CFR and contributed economic research to the TF53 report entitled “Building a North American Community”. She neither authored nor co-authored any of the report, but contributed only economic data. When the report was published, she fervently disagreed with many of the conclusions, authored a dissenting memorandum of her own (which was not well received) and was not asked to remain with the CFR.

And just for a frame of reference, Donald Trump made the statement that Hillary Clinton “would make a great president or vice president” and that Barack Obama “is a superstar” in 2011 - about the same time that Heidi Cruz left the CFR. By April of 2011, the rest of us knew that Barack Obama was a total disaster. Why didn’t Donald Trump?

You seem determined to ignore anything and everything Donald Trump has said or done in the past, but you’re perfectly willing to cite things that Cruz’s WIFE did at the same period of time? Seriously?

"In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz drafted the amicus brief signed by the attorneys general of 31 states, which said that the D.C. handgun ban should be struck down as infringing upon the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.[53][56] Cruz also presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit."

WINNER

"In addition to his success in Heller, Cruz successfully defended the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds before the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court, winning 5–4 in Van Orden v. Perry."

WINNER

"In 2004, Cruz was involved in the high-profile case, Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow,[40][44] in which he wrote a brief on behalf of all 50 states which argued that the plaintiff did not have standing to file suit on behalf of his daughter.[58] The Supreme Court upheld the position of Cruz’s brief."

WINNER

"Cruz served as lead counsel for the state and successfully defended the multiple litigation challenges to the 2003 Texas congressional redistricting plan in state and federal district courts and before the U.S. Supreme Court, which was decided 5–4 in his favor in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry"

WINNER

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

"Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt to re-open the cases of 51 Mexican nationals, all of whom were convicted of murder in the United States and were on death row.[40][44][46][53] With the support of the George W. Bush Administration, the petitioners argued that the United States had violated the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations by failing to notify the convicted nationals of their opportunity to receive legal aid from the Mexican consulate.[49][60] They based their case on a decision of the International Court of Justice in the Avena case which ruled that by failing to allow access to the Mexican consulate, the US had breached its obligations under the Convention.[61] Texas won the case in a 6–3 decision, the Supreme Court holding that ICJ decisions were not binding in domestic law and that the President had no power to enforce them>"

WINNER

Cruz has been named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the 50 Best Litigators under 45 in America,[52][62] by The National Law Journal as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America,[63][64] and by Texas Lawyer as one of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century

The above taken from: TED CRUZ

Interview of Donald Trump & Ivanka.

"Ivanka what do you have in common with your father?" Answer: "Real estate and golf"

"Trump, what do you have in common with Ivanka?" Answer: "SEX"

Paraphrase: If Ivanka wasn't my daughter I would probably be dating her.

There is no getting around this, this is just plain sick the things he says about his DAUGHTER.

I make it a point of personal pride not to vote in the primary for any recently reformed Democrats like trump, especially with his "NYC-Values". I much prefer to vote for a Constitutional-Conservative like Cruz. Everyone I know is voting for Cruz. Everyone laughs about trump. So, it is a pretty easy decision to vote for Cruz.
