The delegates selected in the primary are obligated to vote for their candidate on the first ballot. The superdelegates are not legally obligated to vote for anyone. They may have said they will vote for HRC, but they could easily change their mind if they wished to do so.
I thought it was the democrat party, not democratic.
The Democratic party knows their constituency well. They know they can openly run crooked elections and, while some folks may grumble, they will vote the right way in the general election. That is why it is called the plantation.
I get frustrated with factual errors. This delegate selection process has nothing to do with the electoral college. Does anybody fact check or have editors review things before they are published anymore???
I believe it was Joseph Stalin that said something like, “It is not who votes that count it is who counts the votes.” Looks like communism is going to bite the communists in the rear this time.
The convention will be fun
Bernie is not pining for a democracy, though I would like for him to lay out his vision of his desired structure of gov’t.
I will stay with our republic for of gov’t, assuming we stamp down the leftists.
The young Bernieist actually believe they have a chance, kiddies are so gullible.
Reading ignorant crap like this makes me conclude that we have become a country of idiots. Delegates to the Democrat Convention have nothing whatsoever to do with the electoral college. Are the editors of IBD really that clueless.
..Is There Anything Less Democratic Than The Democratic Party?...
Yes, the Bolsheviks.
Democrat Party
Democrat Party
Democrat Party
I would just like for everybody to stop saying “Democratic” party.
You can call them by their proper name, “Democrat” party.
I would also like to stop referring to people that have a job in this country as “Workers”. This annoys me to no end.
We need instant response to DNC theft of delegates
âUnpledged delegates exist really to make sure that party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists.â
THIS is how we should respond to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:
So, the DNC has decided to RIG THE SYSTEM AGAINST DEMOCRACY?
Shouldnât ALL âparty leaders and elected officialsâ have to gain the support of grassroots activists?
For one thing, it is NOT the Democratic Party. It is the Democrat Party....always has been.
