DON'T LET RUBIO FOOL YOU TWICE

My good friend, Rush Limbaugh, is willing to give Marco Rubio grace for possibly making a “mistake” with the Gang of Eight amnesty deal.

Rush explained recently that Rubio is no moderate – calling him a “legitimate, full-throated conservative.”

I disagree.

Rubio is indeed squishy on the No. 1 issue in the 2016 race – immigration. When even Jeb Bush criticizes his amnesty scam, you know he cannot be the Republican nominee – not no way, not no how. Not this year, which many agree, may be the last chance for American politics to get it right.

At the last debate Rubio never took ownership of his "Gang of Eight" legislation. Furthermore, he never said it was wrong. What he did say is he now knows that the people did not want it. Think about that statement. What he is really saying is that they didn't quite get away with it. The only reason it didn't become law was the people standing in the way, to the obvious dismay of the politicians. Now he acknowledges, half heartedly in my view, that they know the wall has to be be first built and illegal immigration has be controlled. But, RINOs have made this promise to control illegal immigration for decades, but their heart has never been in it, and Rubio's isn't either. Rush is entitled to his views on Rubio, but he is wrong.

Repeating to myself the words of the Late Chuck Colson....NEVER VOTE FOR WHAT THE POLITICIAN SAYS...BUT CHECK HIS RECORD, LOOK OVER HIS HISTORICAL GIFTS, WHO HIS FRIENDS ARE... HE WON’T CHANGE MUCH OF WHAT HIS TRACT RECORD SAYS.

Rush just said that he believes what Rubio said was correct and true. It is. He doesn’t support Rubio just saying that the statement he said 4 times was true and Americans do have a very short memory and needs reminding. If nothing else, I hope Americans do remember what Rubio said in a good way and remember that Clinton and Sanders would be the same way.

Go Trump.

Good post.   The author explains in a very objective way why Rubio should not be trusted -- not just on the immigration issue, but also on his sabre rattling against Russia.   Rubio is a very DANGEROUS man.

I also agree with your assessment that Rubio is weaseling out of his support for the Gang of Eight and it's disingenuous.

And you can bet that if Rubio ever did get elected, the Great Trump Wall would never get built, the Cheap Labor Express would pick up steam, and America would turn into that Third World Hellhole than Ann Coulter has been warning us about.  Remember, Rubio is the favorite son of all those Silicon Valley types -- Facebook, Apple, Google, Amazon.   Not to be trusted.

To be sure, Rush is wrong on this one, but I'll forgive the modern father of the conservative movement for an occasional mistake.

I’m starting to dislike the guy even more than I dislike Jeb. The more Rubio talks, the more he reminds me of Obama: a junior Senator hyped up as a Golden Boy by his party with no accomplishments, lots of ambition, and very little substance. Like Obama, Rubio is very good at reading a script (memorized by Rubio, telepromptered for Obama) but completely incapable of thinking.
