Finally, a focus on a presidential candidate’s accomplishments as a leader.
I would add: focus on a candidate's ability to inspire, connect, get along, yes, get along, with all sorts of people and opponents, and making deals that don't sacrifice your principles.
The prevailing thought is that these debates are the most important thing for a candidate to win. Anybody can memorize, anybody can parrot others, anybody can offer words, but not everybody is out front about who they are and what they think. This is the revival Trump has wrought.
With all due respect, HORSESHIT!
Not so heroic when was the reason for some of the holes in the thing to begin with.
Very nice :)
It’s amazing that the much heralded “master debater” seems to also have memorized answers to questions as well.
What?
Cruz has been a high achiever and hard worker from early on.
He graduated cum laude from Princeton and Magna cum laude from Harvard.
He edited the Law Review and actually wrote reviews.
He took 9 cases to the SCOTUS and won 5. All Conservative rights cases.
He took his law firm to the top as an appellate firm.
Ran a tough grassroots campaign and beat a big money wealthy guy who was favored to win.
He’s done exactly what he promised in the Senate and has worked like a dog.
Further, there is a decided downside to Trump’s career in business which Republicans have been very gentle about. The little old lady eminent domain case is the tip of the iceberg. If he gets the nomination, guarantee the Dems will not be so nice.
That was right on the mark...said better than I have seen it put....
He is an amazing American, Father, Husband, Grandfather, roll model and will be one of the finest Presidents this Country could ever have...
Thank you!!!
Cruz is my second choice. I don’t trust lawyers and lawyer speak not politicians. That is one reason why Cruz is not my first choice.
Cruz’s accomplishments:
2012 Heidi Cruz joined Council on Foreign Relations to change it.
2013 Cruz joined National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee to change it.
2012 Cruz: I am the only candidate to stand up to...
2015 Cruz: I am the only candidate who has stood up to...
Always avoiding the natural follow-up, ‘but what have you accomplished’?
Accomplishments including:
Joined forces with Mitch McConnell in October 2013
Would not campaign for conservative challengers in 2013/2014
Gave $200,000 from his Leadership PAC to the NRSC
Advocated for 500,000 additional H1-B immigrant visas
Ran to the Border with Glenn Beck for Illegal Aliens, Soccer Balls and Teddy Bears
Supported Comprehensive Immigration Reform (along with Senator Rubio)
Voted to support the Iran Deal â To Include Corker/Cardin Amendment (only Senator Tom Cotton voted against)
Voted to support TPA â The gateway to Trans Pacific Trade Deal
‘The Most Consistent Conservative’? Merely a ridiculous psy-ops talking point.
Do you think the left would be nicer to Cruz?
Simple. He helped elect the ones who have been destroying the country. Now he wants to fix it. Nice.
This makes him a great lawyer.
Oh, you’re a Trump hater. Not nice.
That “thing”, as you call it, is the American Flag. Show some respect.
...to inspire, connect, get along, yes, get along, with all sorts of people and opponents, and making deals that don't sacrifice your principles. Yes, a very good addition indeed. Getting along with even opponents -- how important that is! And it's often overlooked. Trump has beat up on and later thanked dozens of people in the last several months. Trump doesn't burn bridges. He doesn't jot down the names of people he will never speak to again in a little black book. No, he knows that today's enemy may eventually come around and maybe become the pivot point for winning a key deal! |
