I liked his answer about waterboarding. I don’t want field officers using it, nor do I want its use to become widespread. But I do want enhanced interrogation to be an option on the table to be used when deemed necessary by the Commander and Chief.
Having said that, I must admit, I did not like hearing McLaim’s name mentioned in the debate...least of all by Ted!
Me, either but perhaps the usage of McCain’s name was appropriate in that context. He does exist, you know.
I don’t know who ... liberals, I suppose ... decided waterboarding was a mortal sin.
It’s not. It was used on our own troops in training. No one suffers any lasting injury. It does exactly what it’s meant to do and no more.
We are talking about people who chop heads off, burn people alive and other cute stuff like that.
