It’s not. It was used on our own troops in training. No one suffers any lasting injury. It does exactly what it’s meant to do and no more.

I see where you are coming from. But if enhanced interrogation techniques become widespread at the line officer level, it is only a matter of time before it backfires on us. I want the president to have the option, but I want its use carefully controlled and kept out of the news as much as possible.
