Politics is a fast-paced and unpredictable game, and sometimes, unfortunate things happen. That's the best way I can describe what occurred on caucus night in Iowa when CNN implied that Ben Carson was dropping out of the Republican race, and the Cruz campaign swiftly alerted caucus-goers that they should consider voting for Ted Cruz instead.
Let's start from the beginning.
Shortly before the Iowa caucus was set to begin, CNN's Jake Tapper reported: ...

As vague at that story was, YES! And obviously I DO want someone else to win! GO TRUMP!!!
So when is the “big announcement” the Cruz campaign said Carson was having?
I don’t remember Trump EVER saying he was going to win Iowa BIG! I remember him saying “we’ll see.” As far as Trump losing...if you can call a one point difference losing...it doesn’t bother me a bit. I DID NOT expect him to win Iowa. Trying to paint Trump supporters with a broad brush of ill intentions and stupidity is pure Cruz tactics all the way to the hilt.
Let’s cut through the nonsense and you show me how another political lawyer figure is going to straighten out our nosediving economy. Then show me how he is going to straighten out the decimation of our Military. Then show me how he is going to MANAGE this country’s remaining manufacturing so that it does not ALSO leave the country through the pressure of the TRADE deals passed and approved by the sitting politicians. CRUZ made TPP possible by approving TPA. You can’t deny it even it you write forty denials. CRUZ voted away American SOVEREIGNTY and thinks he can lie about that too.
I really don’t understand trump supporters. The only thing I can come up with is:
-Some Trump supporters are just like Obama voters and obsessed with him as a celebrity and don’t care about integrity.
- Some trump supporters are rinos trying to take out Cruz now to help Rubio. Will later dump all the scandals on trump, Rubio will looks like he’s above it all.
-Some trump supporters are paid by trump or his wealthy friends.
-Some trump supporters have put down their anchor for trump and because of pride won’t believe anything negative on him.
-some trump supporters have hard hearts and are blinded from the truth.
None of the above applies to me, so where does that leave you?
You might TRY to give some thought to the FACT that some of us KNOW how the REAL WORLD works! Take off your rose colored glasses. We are trying to SAVE AMERICA.
It would take a constitutional lawyer (and not a businessman) to figure out how the nation should do all of those things CONSTITUTIONALLY and maintain CONSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY, which is what we should all be for. For each and every one of the problems you’ve pointed out are the direct result of our government behaving unconstitutionally.
Watch the video. The clock behind Dana Bash says 6:44.
You’ve been with FR since 2015 so I don’t know you well. Haven’t seen you post except for recently. Who has the rose colored glasses when they won’t watch the video to see the truth.
Trump has said over and over again that is a lie.
Let’s see where Tricky Ted finishes in NH.
I’m not against Sarah Palin. I just haven’t outsourced my thinking to her. And I am disappointed that she seems to have slipped so easily into Trump’s style of personal invective in lieu of thought.
Rafael’s pelple lied and kept their jobs!
People not peple
I suppose you don’t remember him boasting he could shoot someone and not lose votes either? The pollsters, the media, and the pundits were telling us Trump would carry Iowa and in an actual vote tally, you’re not going to spin it with a “few percentage points” as you would with polling. I expected Trump to lose Iowa just as I expect him to lose in future primaries, because like a lot of people I welcomed his stance on illegal immigration through our southern border and his opposition to importing Muslims but I expect more from a candidate than a few choice sound bytes. After all, it wasn’t that long ago when Trump critcized Romney for being to harsh on illegals and he admitted his golf course exploys them. When you actually bother vetting Trump, what you find is someone that registered Democrat, contributed to Democrats like Schumer, praised Obama’s bailouts and stimulus “good job,” supports nationalizing healthcare, supported abortion, supported gun control, and that’s just the tip of it. As for your claim, please dispense with accusations of “Cruz tactics” because this manufactured scandal over Carson’s dead campaign are the same tactics used by the Left to distract and bring down their opponents. It amazes me that you will hang Ted Cruz with TPA alone knowing he voted against it and knowing he has specifically said he will oppose TPP.
Levin has his own axe to grind. Learn to think for yourself. Levin, Limbaugh, Weekly Standard, most of the rest are all pushing the same old same old....... politicians. We need a wrecking ball to take down the Washington Uniparty Conglomerate. Nobody but Trump has the guts and the skills to do it. They must be destroyed before we can build anew. Haven’t you lost enough of your Freedoms yet to see what is going on?
And a “Constitutional lawyer” is part of the problem. Lawyers are for hire. All you have to do is pay them and they are on whichever side coughs up the most dough. In an “ADVISORY” capacity is enough. Constitutional Lawyers do NOT have the knowledge in Economics and world Affairs that is honed to a sharp edge by a lifetime of practice in the real world.Trump is the only candidate that understands the economy and the damage so called “free” trade is doing to the
USA.We have TOO MANY LAWYERS in Washington and I believe we need some more COMMON SENSE back in the White House to at least balance things out a bit.
I remember very well his remark about shooting someone. i considered it very funny as did a lot of people not overcome with searching for the dirt in a gnat’s eyebrows.
So you appreciate Trump bringing an overwhelming AntiAmerican subject front and center but consider it just a “sound bite in the long run.”
Well, you stick to your sound bites and your so called conservativeism. I’ll stick to supporting the one person who has both the brains and the skills to get the job done.
As far as “vetting” Trump is concerned, I’ve seen him in action close up for over a quarter century. I know how he thinks. That’s enough for me.
Go Trump!
Show me where he lied, noob.
Of course he has, and of course you believe him. I see he wants to move forward on Sodomite rights too.
