Bras, garters, corsets, lingerie, handbags last weekâs SHOT show was not just the site of new gun announcements. Companies took the opportunity to showcase a number of concealed carry options designed specifically for women.
Personal and home protection is a foremost reason women own firearms, according to research conducted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The NSSF survey of women who owned at least one firearm found that more than 42 percent have a concealed carry permit.
Many women need a way to carry firearms that is designed for the female body â not one designed for men and simply made smaller.
For women who want to keep a gun within reach, but discreetly and comfortably with their regular wardrobe, here are some concealed carry options featured and revealed for 2016.

a large market for anyone who can cash in on it.
This is good news for many a reason - for one it gives us more options and it means more are becoming armed.
I just wish the industry would remember us old farts from time to time. I would give my left leg for 1911A1 at an affordable price. It has been many a year since that was the case.

The disparity in physical strength makes it imperative to be able to possess and carrying that which makes things equal.
Tried this one at SHOT two years ago. My entire bra kept pulling out. Apparently you need bigger boobs, and a tighter bra than I. Decided inside the waistband over my rear end was still the best for me.
Bra Holster -Flashbang
Made by Flashbang Holsters and also available from The Well Armed Woman, the Flashbang holster attaches to bras, providing both concealment and ease of access.
How does it work? The holster attaches to the middle of a bra with a leather loop and is tucked under the bra’s underwire. A kydex mold encases the firearm’s slide and trigger. To draw, simply lift up the shirt and pull down on the handle.
Yes, I know what you’re saying. A lot of of the choices will depend upon a person’s individual physique.
They may need to tweak their designs to make it more usable for a wider range of people.

I like inside the waistband/ backside, except if I forget to remove the pistol prior to using the loo. No, it doesn’t fall in the loo, but it sure clanks loudly when it hits a tile floor, or the front of the porcelain throne..
Luckily, I am a germaphobe, so don’t use public restrooms..
Could see myself asking the person in the next stall to kick my handgun back to me..
BTW, I do love Cornered Cat, but haven’t been to the site in ages. Will take a gander.
