Jeff Roe, Cruz's campaign manager, pulled the exact same dirty trick with another candidate a few years ago.
"An e-mail sent to news media outlets and a "tweet" issued by a fake Twitter account announced that Eckersley had suspended his campaign due to personal reasons.
Eckersley blames his opponent, Republican Billy Long, for sending out the hoax days before the election,
"You know this is dirty politics. This is Jeff Roe style management. That's who Billy's retained. That's who he writes the big checks to," Eckersley tells Missourinet affiliate KTTS.

This is true. Donald Trump has not been accused of election violations.
It leaves a rather fowl aftertaste, doesn’t it?
Trump’s issues are no excuse for someone who runs as a Christian to surround himself with unscrupulous characters or to lie. We aren’t supposed to be Democrats. If Cruz wins through dirty tricks and lies, he may be president but what will he be to God? So fa r he appears a deceitful sneak to many.

BTTT! Cruz is sleazy x 10. I voted for him twice here in TX, in the Primary, and in the General. Never again will I be fooled by his bought and paid for, end justifies the means tactics.
Shouldn’t be to difficult to locate the photocopier used to make the card....I read somewhere that all photocopiers imprint a hidden code that allows the FBI to track the source...../crickets.

The things Cruz did were illegal. Trashing other candidates is not.
Who in the world would drop out of a race an hour before the votes? It makes no sense. Cruz knew that or at least could have checked.
The last time a dirty tricks player with a questionable citizenship that was a lawyer who gradated from Harvard and had only ever worked within government and was a freshman Senator we got Obama. Now we get Ted Cruz.
