Unless youâre a pollster I donât think thereâs any reason to slit your wrists over the Republican cauci results.
Cruz: 28%
Trump: 24%
Rubio: 23%
Congrats Ted, glad you won butt please clean up your act; weâre tired of smear campaigns and are looking for less, not more, politics-as-usual. And that victory speech: you earned it butt oy! Too long, letâs work on that.
The Donald is the only one of the three who didnât give a victory speech last night. At least he was gratious in his second place placement, and while he didnât actually say anything other than he loved Iowa and was going to buy a farm there, it was blessedly short.
Trump Farm Field Iowa City, Iowa
Iâm sure he was disappointed to find out that retail politics and organization still matter and that without them a yuge turnout cannot be counted on. So Iâd suggest he get some more apprentices out and about to spread the word. Also maybe ratchet down the theatrics and stick to attacking the enemies of America not the enemies of The Donald. Stick with the Make America Great Again meme; as they say in politics, it resonates.
And Marco: you would have thought he won the whole thing: (caution R-rated language)
And as for the Dems: what could be more fitting for the party that wants everyone to have a fair shot at paying their fair share than determining the results of the votes by a toss of the coin?
Flip it, flip it good!
What could even the playing field better than that? Who wouldâve guessed that Hillary would have won all 6 tosses?
Not that it matters who won when it comes down to a choice between an over-the-Hill broad who lies about everything and a crazy old dude whose best days ended at Woodstock.
Clinton: 50%
Sanders: 50%
Still, nobody does fair better than the Democrats.
Hilz having a Howard Dean moment, Bernie having a Black Power moment
On, New Hampshire!

STOP RUBIO!
... Congrats Ted, glad you won butt please clean up your act; weââ¬â¢re tired of smear campaigns
The hypocrisy of trumpees is boundless. They live in donnie’s alternate reality show.
DT called Ted a liar? Anyone ever figure what that was about? DT said he could work with Reid and Pelosi, they are long time friends of his, yeah establishment embracing though Rubio fixed that with his virtual tie with DT. DT did the bigtime pander on ethanol while Ted stayed true to his word and was embraced by the voters, surprise!
Stopping there, trumpees are in that alternate world, facts don’t seem to matter.
“gratious”?
I think DT just learned a lesson about American politics and real voters last nite. Having said that, he is not where he is in life by not learning from the past.
BTW, trumpees get ready for a shock next Tuesday.
Both Trump and Cruz need to cool it, or else we’re going to get stuck with Rubio.
I’ll go along with that. But if Cruz wins fairly in NH and SC, will the Right be able to move on from Trump? My money says no. Even if it emerges that Cruz is the clear choice, the GOPe will push Rubio, and the usual suspects will say “we need to go along....”. The Right will split, again, the conservatives will stay home, and you know the rest of the story.
We need to unify now and not give the Roves, Fox, and the rest of the etasblishment a chance to counter. But it won’t happen..
No way, I’m not doing it again, Romney was the last straw. I will stay home this time if it’s Rubio. And I don’t care, because Rubio or Hillary ain’t gonna make a damn bit of difference.
He said "butt" (hheee, hhheee). (Channeling the inner Beavis).
Good, I’m not the only one thinking along those lines..
Ted, by his own admission, used deceit (lies) by signaling support for the 2013 immigration bill in order to get his 'poison pill' amendments passed.
That Iowa has a long record of voting for losers.
Not sure how much of a victory it is when over 70% of the voters voted against Ted Cruz.
I think Trump would have pulled of an upset and won Iowa if it were a secret ballot, no caucus.
I agree with you. The “caucus” method is dumb. Too many people can be influenced when all sitting together in a room.
Also, I am amazed at the way the count. Looks like they just use a spiral notebook and add the numbers up with a pencil.
The Iowa GOP did not use a caucus method fro the presidential preference vote. It was a secret ballot.
Same thing I said on another thread. Why do we do it at all?
Does the author know how to spell “but” ??
“STOP RUBIO”
Mega dittos on that one. Trump needs to forget about the preacher man and start hitting Rubio hard and fast.
