At the time the attach occurred - No, it is not a fair question. He was not in politics at that time, and there are many here who remind celebrities to “shut up and sing”.
Has he been asked about this in conjunction with other such attacks since becoming a candidate? Well, provided the question wasn’t a “gotcha”, that may be useful.
I know you have animus toward him as a candidate. But we need to be mindful that politicians - most often ONLY politicians - frame their every day existence around the imaging that will serve them best in their next pursuit of office. The rest of us, including billionaire businessmen, do not try to personify a political movement or standpoint consciously and deliberately.
In other news - Perry (all hat no cattle) still butthurt over being bested by Trump.
GO TRUMP!
Well since he’s a private citizen and not a politician the question is moot. I’m sure he PRIVATELY condemned it as nearly everyone in the US did. But did he run in front of cameras like a politicians to get face time to express his opinion. Who cares?
I am just so sick of all of this infighting. Why can’t we stick to talking up our guy without talking down the other one?
Is This a Fair Question? Did Donald Trump Denounce the Fort Hood Shootings?

I would have to say it is a ridiculous question.
#Trump’s position is that ALL our military bases should be filled with our soldiers with guns. Just yesterday at a rally he said the first thing he would do was get rid of the executive order banning guns on bases.

Is it fair to ask how Trump feels about it in 2016? Yes, for two reasons: a) he is running for POTUS and b) he invoked 9/11 terrorism as a defense to Cruz’s criticism of New York values.
Apparently, Trump did make a statement in 2012 before he announced his candidacy. So, I’m good with his position on this one.
Donald Trump doesn't just live rent-free in your head.
He built a 40 floor Trump Tower in there.
He was a private citizen back then. I’m sure he was just as appalled as anyone. So, no. It’s not fair to question if he put out a ‘public’ statement or not.
Now, this is desperation. Hope it makes you feel better. It makes me feel pity.
