You've heard the speculation. But what if it really happens? What do We collectively or individually do if Obama invokes martial law under some pretext? What if he orders American military forces to fire upon American citizens? Is there no chance this will happen? Or is there every chance this will happen?
Yes because I know people in the military that don’t trust half their fellows. They are screaming Obama supporters. And the people I know, just regular grunts, think the Obamabots will follow any shoot to kill order.
Then you have to ask yourself why Barry purged the officer corps and replaced them with his own people.
Yea, the military isn’t going to save us. Some will try. But overall, no.
There are not enough US troops/guard to enforce marshal law in just DC and NYC. It would take an Army of probably 6 million( 12 times what we have now) to start to do marshal law on the entire USA. LOL.

The vast majority of soldiers and cops will do whatever they are told. Their paycheck is their god. They proved this during the pro-life rescue movement.

And that was on a presidential imposition. If Congress suspends habeas corpus, and one day it certainly will, it's a whole different ball game. Courts aren't going to act in a meaningful way.

Donald Trump’s support would immediately soar into the stratosphere, and his supporters would look to him for leadership. His base of support would be solid. I think he would come up with something. He has already offered to lead the American people. The people would be ripe for insurrection and perhaps revolution.

There is a reason why gun sales have been off the chart since he got elected. A heavily armed populace is the reason why it has not happened.
I am an Air Force Academy grad, class of 1973.
Back then it was pounded into our heads that the military would NEVER be used against our own people.
But that was then and this is now.
Back then the military would NEVER have been practicing on American soil to put down an American insurgency. Would NEVER have been practicing covert tactics to take out high value American targets at night on American soil. Jade Helm and similar exercises did ALL of that.
Under Obama HUNDREDS of officers have been removed, most for bogus reasons. The REAL reason was suspicion that they might NOT follow orders if given questionable orders from Obama.
So... What about the officers that are left? Some of them (but not all) would follow orders to impose martial law. Obama knows who they are, and they are the ones who would receive those orders.
The REAL questions are how many of the soldiers under their command would also follow those orders, and would the troops who were ordered to simply stand down rise up against them.
Final comment: It would not take a lot of them at first. Only enough to secure Washington DC. Once the situation seemed stable they would expand from there. Few people would risk standing against what seemed to be a fait accompli.
Do I think this will actually happen? I hope not, but history is full of despots who have done exactly this in order to take dictatorial control of their country. Obama will certainly try if he thinks he can pull it off.

Obama has eviscerated our Officer Corps and Non-commissioned officers. It is possible that those Officers and nco’s might obey Obama’s orders. But that would be a stretch. Obama would have to stage a national wide terrorist attack to justify martial law. I don’t think he could accomplish a coups of this magnitude.
The military by and large is conservativ, especially in the combat branches and special op’s units. So, in mho I don’t believe they would act on civilians. Same with most FBI, DEA, CIA, etc. Not to say there aren’t some that would, just reflect upon what happened at Waco and Ruby Ridge and you will get the idea. There’s always whores that will do anything for money. And, The Left, Obama and his Willing Idiots know that. That’s what he meant when he made the below statement.
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.â€
