Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who served during the Obama administration, has turned into a harsh critic of the president, saying that Barack Obama always thinks he's the smartest person in the room.
Gates also bashed Obama for bringing on advisers who do little else but constantly agree with his proposals, fostering a group-think environment where dissenting opinion essentially does not exist, The Free Beacon reports. In other words, there are no "strong" people around the president. And when there is dissent, Obama tries to crush it. Back in October, Politico reported that Obama's advisers urged him to deal with Syria more aggressively, but the president refused to listen to advice. Now, the administration has been forced to acquiesce to Russian demands that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad remain in power. Additionally, Russian airstrikes, which have proved to be far more effective than U.S. strikes, continue to stomp on the Obama administration's foreign policy objectives.
"You know, the president is quoted as having said at one point to his staff, 'I can do every one of your jobs better than you can,'" Gates told Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC's Morning Joe, on Tuesday.

They were among the most incompetent people I've ever seen.
Obama is so stupid he rates as incoherent. There is absolutely no substitute for experience. None.
And if you don't openly recognize their brilliance, you are looked upon with disdain and contempt.
You’re welcome.
Well, considering what has come out yesterday about HRC's homebrew server; I'm thinking you are probably right when you say that his golf scores may be more secret than the nuke codes.
It’s because Obama wants to destroy America and his staff all want to slow roll the implementation.
If Obama wanted to be productive, he wouldn’t know where to start.
“You know, the president is quoted as having said at one point to his staff, ‘I can do every one of your jobs better than you can,’”
Sure you can Barak, grab that mop and bucket and go to town.
There's a corollary with the military: I've had superiors that thought when things are going good, it's because of their great leadership. When things are going bad, it's because you effed up.
Oh yeah, I (as an NCO), had to train several West Point ring-knockers about the facts of real leadership.
Too bad Sec. Gates didn’t take his leave early in his tenure when it must have been obvious that he was surrounded by anti-Americans. Same for the various Generals who stayed long after they should have known that their Commander In Chief was running the country into the ditch. That would have been making a statement... this is long overdue and will be completely dismissed as irrelevant.
Obama is extremely smart. He’s buffaloed an entire country.
Did some research online about narcissism and viewed a number of videos by the guy who is probably one of the top experts in the area of narcissism.
Obama and Trump are perfect examples of malignant narcissism; and so were Hitler and Stalin. All these people mesmerized by Trump don’t see how Trump has manipulated them.
As for the huge crowds Trump is drawing, it is a perfect for a mob mentality to take over. Place a number of rable-rousers in the crowd to start rallying the crowd and people lose their senses. Worked for Hitler, Stalin and lots of religious leader scammers; Benny Hinn being one of the worst.
For those Trump supporters who think they would never fall in emotional love with a Hitler are doing the exact same thing Germans did with Hitler.
Hitler got his supporters emotionally committed to him no matter what he said. Hitler promised them almost exactly what they wanted to believe about him, and learned too late they were decieved by a master manipulator.
Here is an excellent video on malignant narcissism.

Just like Trump. Both are malignant narcissists.
Aand Trump thinks he is smarer than everyone else; and also doesn’t listen to others who may know than he does.
I was fortunate that I had excellent platoon sergeants when I started out. My best squad leaders, with a few exceptions, were "acting jacks."
As a Maintenance Officer, I realized too late I was being played by my Motor Sergeant. It was a great learning experience for a thankless job.
I had a few dustups with the ring knockers, but nothing serious. I realized that I could be abrasive and a PITA, but only when someone really pi$$ed me off.
The most valuable lesson I learned was failing my first ARTEP, with a platoon that was handed to me the day of the ARTEP. After a couple of weeks of catching flak from the Battery and Battalion Commanders, I said "ok, I get it. Now let me do my job and stay the hell out of my way." Over the next 18 months, I took 3 of the battery's 4 platoons successfully through their ARTEPs (two Chaparral, one Vulcan). I had 3 AJ squad leaders in the platoon, and we had the only platoon to pass during a battery level ARTEP. Damn, I loved those guys! Every member of the platoon was trainable, even though I was given some of the worst problem children in the battery. They got a clean start when they came to my platoon, and we made it work.
I wasn't anything special, I considered myself an average officer. I was the product of a great ROTC program.
However you ADA types never got a chance to pull a lanyard..HA!
Obama is a dangerous combination of ignorance and arrogance.
And there is 7 years of evidence of that.
"I think that I'm a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I'll tell you right now that I'm gonna think I'm a better political director than my political director."
Obama said this in 2007 to somebody he was interviewing. Since he won the 2008 election, maybe these particular statements were true at the time.
To which he responded that cars going 70 miles per tank would be against the laws of physics.
Perhaps you meant 70 miles per gallon.
“Obama is extremely smart. Heâs buffaloed an entire country.”
Nah, just about half, or if you believe voter fraud didn’t happen on a large scale, 53%.
