Once again the very desperate Donald Trump is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, now suggesting that Ted Cruz is worse than Hillary “when you think about it” because of his filing mistake with respect to the loan he took out to fund his Senate campaign in Texas:

You know who else thinks Cruz is worse than Hillary? The Republican establishment.
I’ve said this before, that Trump fights exactly like the Republican Establishment fights when they have a conservative challenging a Republican incumbent. They will say anything to beat that conservative into the mud and defeat them.
And that’s exactly what Donald Trump is doing now.
He’s jumping the shark almost daily now and it’s pathetic.

Claiming that a paperwork mistake by a first time candidate in an election campaign is worse than Hillary knowingly putting national security at risk is an atrocious thing for a GOP candidate to say. Do, you really think that the Cruz campaigns paperwork error was more important than Hillary setting up a personal server to receive to receive classified information?
Fits my gut feel as well.

I agree. He's alienating the base just as badly as the GOPe.

I think you may be on to something. I momentarily got sucked into that populist we gotta go with the one who can win and didn’t want to see the glaring signs from Trump that he does have New York values and they are not mine. Cruz has always been my first choice but I will again hold my nose if I must vote for Trump like I did for Dole, McCain and Romney. Hillary come hell or high water will be the dem nominee even if she is wearing an indictment at the time. So those not willing to vote for Cruz can always vote for her if Trump goes Howard Dean.
Cuckservatives are very uncomfortable with that term.
If you keep talking like that, we are gonna need to carve out a safe space.

We need to hear what he REALLY meant here.
Unless Trump seriously apologizes for this remark about Cruz, I will not vote for him if he is the nominee. He has proven a backstabbing, flip-flopping political thug. His campaign style must have James Carville drooling with excitement.
And all you Trumpbots who are going to flame me, tell me again how you trust him to lead as a conservative when he has been at all points on the political spectrum at one point or another, has been a big fan of, and contributor to Bill and Hill and campaigns like Teddy Kennedy against Robert Bork? I don’t trust Trump for one minute when he gets in office to fulfill his campaign promises. The only thing he might, just might, do is build a wall on the southern border because there is glory in that and money to be made. Otherwise, you who expect him to advance a consistent conservative agenda are fooling yourselves and you are in for a big shock. That is why I won’t vote for him even if it means Hillary gets in because he convinced me at this point that he is no better.
And Trump is a buffoon for even making that comparison. Are you really defending what he said here?

Cruz is a huge, big time lawyer.
I don’t think it was an accident.
Nor do I think Hillary’s mishandling of classified paperwork was an accident.
So, in terms of national security, Hillary’s was worse.
But, in terms of obfuscation, they are the same.
