Peace is achieved through strength, and a perception of strength. Obama has humiliated our allies, and has done all he can to show weakness to the enemy
Shortly after President Obama, and other global appeasers, struck a deal with Iran over their nuclear ambitions, and literally hours before Obamaâs State of the Union Speech, ten American U.S. Navy military personnel were taken hostage by the Iranians. The sailors were held on Iranâs Farsi Island, and then released after Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry slobbered all over themselves in apologies for the Americans daring to venture into Iranian waters as a result of a mechanical failure. Vice President Biden went so far as to say that the Iranian military was simply rescuing the two U.S. Navy vessels in distress. While I watched CNN report on the story, I noticed that the not-so-fair-and-balanced cable network refused to call the detained American military personnel âhostages,â and instead said that the sailors were âarrested.â Using the word âarrestedâ implies that the Navy sailors were at fault, and deserved to be taken hostage. Republican U.S. Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, when he came on the CNN broadcast, immediately used the word âhostage.â
The Obama administration did all they could to appease, and grovel, before the Iranians over this situation, and will likely say that the subservience of Americaâs leaders was what led to the release of those hostages (they want to recognize and reward obedient behavior, after all). Meanwhile, while John Kerry was calling the Iranians âkindâ for releasing the hostages, one wonders if the liberal left Democrats remember that it was the Iranians who supplied armor-piercing IEDs that killed hundreds of our personnel in Iraq, recently âtest firedâ rockets near a U.S. aircraft carrier, and that the Iranians are ignoring all of the terms they donât like in Obamaâs ânuke deal.â And notice, the words from the Iranians were not so much against Obama, as they were against the United States Congress for daring to demand a continuance and increase of economic sanctions against Iran, saying this incident âshould be a lesson to the troublemakers in the U.S. Congress.â
I think it was a backhanded humiliation way of paying the “Islamic jizya” tax, it has to be paid UNDER humiliation....
Barry F’ing Obama is jug-eared, half-bred, drug-addled, limp-wristed, closet-homosexual, that takes it in the @ss from Michelle while simultaneously giving John F’ing Kerry a rim job.
appropriate for a pussy.
Where’s Admiral Halsey now when we really need him.
Where are the two surrendered boats?
I’m afraid of what’s going to happen during the last 12 months of 0bama’s reign of terror.
Remember what the French “reign of terror” was?
But anyway, these are dark evil times. I pray daily for good leadership of the US.
I read that they were returned.
This whole incident raises many questions. First did BOTH boats sufferer mechanical problems simultaneously? If one boat was functional couldn’t it tow the other? We’re there no other US Navy assets available in the area that could have provided aid? I fail to believe that BOTH boats suffered failure of their navigation equipment that caused them to presumably stray into Iranian waters. What mission caused these small boats to be used in basically open ocean? A more plausible explanation might be they were attacked and overwhelmed by Iranian Naval forces and were either captured or surrendered under Obama rules of engagement. Clearly this incident was a humiliation for the US Navy and shows how weak and impotent our naval forces have become under Obama.
There is something else going on here that explains the Joint Chiefs demeanor during the SOTU speech.
What about the arsenal of weapons that were not used?
10 sailors, two boats. I am assuming 10 cell phones. And the GPS didn’t work for any of them? I would expect if the bag was off, someone would try it on his cell phone.
The liberal elites are serious enemies within. Americans have to tell the truth, loud and clear or we are sunk.
with their cryptogear well documented by the Iranians ...
Four things are true: 1) they knew exactly were they were 2) their navigation gear was NOT broken 3) they knew exactly where they were 4) they did not use a tow line.
As stated in other threads on this topic there is more than an even chance that Kerry called the Iranians to ask they to help as he did not want major US elements in Iranian claimed waters on the eve of his big deal. It was all about ego, and hubris.
What was the JCS demeanor? I did not watch it. Busy doing something more important, sorting my socks.
