Cruz saved E commerce when he worked at the FTC. How many businesses and how many jobs do you think that encompasses?

Probably not as many as Ross Perot or Mitt Romney.

I would say as one of the few true opponents of President Obama in the Senate, he has helped shut down the government briefly which is a huge encouragement to conservatives opposed to the growth and expansion of the Federal government.

The other nice thing about Cruz is that he is actually is conservative— unlike the Donald.

Donald supports tax increases, universal health care, and has a strong history of helping Democrats throughout his lifelong career of attention getting.

What has Trump done to fulfill this oath? “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

And before you say “he couldn’t, he was a private citizen!” think long and hard about all of your fellow FReepers who have defended the Constitution without ever being an elected official.

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

Let me know which of those Constitutionally mandated tasks you think Mr. Trump is better suited for.

Come on he was the editor for the Harvard Law review, that counts for something. I can think of a at least one other residents which were groomed that way. That’s got to count for something, right.

Rafael Cruz has never created a single job by himself except perhaps hiring a baby sitter occasionally. Actually Rafael has a made a very nice living cashing government checks all his life.
