It takes a two-thirds vote in the Senate to convict and remove from office. The GOP leaders only control 54 votes meaning that 13 Democrats would also have to vote to convict.
It would appear more accurate to say: “especially with 46 Democrats in Congress who will never vote to convict The First Black President.”
They might seriously start it knowing there is a chance they all get primaries based on recent behavior.
